mmuuuuuuuuriiiiicaaaaaaa

Why the F we mentioning Chris Kyle as a template for Batman now?

Ritchson is the least indicated to play Batman... unless we're talking the Dark Knight Returns or Absolute brick-wall version.

But I gotta admit, once my cousin mentioned in public that Alan Ritchson is his top choice for Batman, and EVERRRYOOONE around him -- must have been a hundred peoplezz -- stopped right in their tracks and gave him a 25 minute standing ovation! True story!
Way to take what I said and move it into an entirely different diatribe. Reading between the lines, let's not guild the lilly on comparing the two. My point is Kyle was in a league of his own as a big man on a SEAL team when the argument was made big guys don't move quick. Total bull*&)(_ and...you know it... he was indoctrinating as a Navy Seal when people say, "He's too big to move quick etc..." same with big muscular guys playing action packed roles in fantasy world. Affleck version of bats was bad acting, but he looks more like Batman than any iteration before him except Bale in Begins. He is as in the comics physically imposing. So, we are going to have a small, tiny Batman on the same team with Superman in GUNNS world? I don't see it happening.

He is 5 foot 2. Tom Cruise is about as physically imposing as a dead rat. And nothing at all described as the novels suggest. Ritchson at least provides the physical aspect. Give me a break on saying Tom cruise is a physically imposing person compared to Ritchson. That is laughable at best. Not to mention the performance is better from Ritchson than Cruise. Have you actually watched the series compared to films? The films are garbage after reading the books, and ...you know it.
Uh huh

Question: where are you getting this idea that people want Batman to be "small and tiny"? And why do you think Corenswet looks like some goddamn monster on screen in GUNNS world for his Batman to compete with? It sounds like you're mostly talking about Pattinson who - in the suit - would not look substantially smaller on screen than David.

I'd also say that Ritchson manages to somehow not elevate the absolute dogwater source material of the Reacher novels is an impressive anti-accomplishment, actually. Virtually any actor would improve on the books lol

It’s interesting, your answer is much more present tense than I expected. As if it’s an ongoing possibility.
No, I don’t — Batman’s my biggest issue in all of DC right now, personally. And it’s not — I’m not writing Batman, but I am working with the writer of Batman and trying to get it right, because he’s incredibly important to DC, as is Wonder Woman. So outside of the stuff that I’m doing in the projects that are actively going, our two priorities are finishing our Wonder Woman and our Batman scripts.

The Batman script — is that still called The Brave and the Bold?
Right now, yeah. Right now.

In the broadest sense, what needs to be figured out to make those two properties work — Batman in this universe?
Batman has to have a reason for existing, right? So Batman can’t just be “Oh, we’re making a Batman movie because Batman’s the biggest character in all of Warner Bros.,” which he is. But because there’s a need for him in the DCU and a need that he’s not exactly the same as Matt’s Batman. But yet he’s not a campy Batman. I’m not interested in that. I’m not interested in a funny, campy Batman, really. So we’re dealing with that. I think I have a way in, by the way. I think I really know what it’s — I just am dealing with the writer to make sure that we can make it a reality.

Eh...as someone who's not too big on the big team-up films, I'm not too keen on Batman or other properties being made to serve the shared universe rather than to work in-and-of themselves. I'd say the first thing TBatB needs to do is be a good movie.

Massive Batman is not what I look for from the character. We had that sort of thing from Batfleck, and I didn't like it there.
