Cant wait til it ends to free up Bear McCreary to do the score for BSG: Blood and Chrome.

I’m sorry “Human Target”, but what happened to us? I’ve tried to be patient, but I’m not getting any younger. I feel like I don’t know you anymore. You’ve changed since we first met. There’s no excitement like there was before. You used to be fun and dangerous and take chances every so often. Now it’s like we’re just going through the motions.

I think we need to see other people. :csad:

I still like it, and if thats what keeps it on the air

we all sell out eventually

It's so different because it has a new creative team.

The guy who used to do Chuck does HT now, and I can see definite Chuck influences in the show. Doesn't really bother me because HT is still fun, and I like Chuck. I think the show is mostly the same, they've just dialed up the humor and action.

I think the first two-parter where Ilsa killed her attacker felt more like a classic HT. It was a little slower paced, and the climax fantastic.

I TOTALLY STOPPED WATCHING IT....TOO MANY CHANGES. IT WAS PERFECT THE WAY IT WAS:cmad:

Which is why it almost didn't get a second season.

I still love Human Target. I like some things from the first season better. And I actually like some things from the second season better.

But it was clear that if HT didn't make a change, it wouldn't see a season 3. I can't blame it for trying to change things up.

And it's still essentially the same show. Episodes are paced faster, the action is more dynamic, and there's a bit more humor (especially between Guerrero and Winston). Yeah, they added to women to the show. God forbid it's no longer a sausage fest. I'll admit that Aimes, while fun, doesn't really contribute anything, but I don't think she's hurts the show either. She's just...there. Ilsa, on the other hand, is adding a new layer to Chance's character. You can tell that he's starting to care for her, and he's actually afraid of that, and how working with them is changing her.

the guy who turned up dead and who might have done it ;)

last weeks episode was amazing.

Holy crap. You weren't kidding! I just finished watching it. Dang, now I'm glad I didn't have to wait an extra week after the cliffhanger :p

this forum is going crazy...assuming because of the batman news.

yeah its the Bat news

HUman Target is still good to me, but Isla Pucci (sp?) is so pointless

Yes! Ron Moore's 'grown-up Harry Potter' pilot ordered by NBC
by James Hibberd

Battlestar Galactica reboot visionary Ron Moore just took another step forward to bringing a fantasy series to broadcast TV.

NBC just picked up his pilot, which could be described as “Harry Potter for grown-ups.”

The Sony Pictures TV project takes place in world ruled by magic instead of science. The working title is 17th Precinct and it’s basically an ensemble police drama set in the fictional town of Excelsior.

Precinct is not the only ambitious Moore project in the pipeline at NBC. The writer-producer also has The McCulloch, about the men and women of a fictional Coast Guard cutter as they travel around the world (that project, we’re told, is still kicking despite the Precinct pickup…).

Between this and The Wild, Wild West, Ron Moore's got a pretty full plate this coming pilot season. They both sound good to me. If only it wasn't on NBC...

Question: How do online views (Hulu, official website streaming, etc.) affect show's ratings or if they get canceled or not

They don't....those numbers are looked at, but are not a factor in determining whether a show lives or dies....DVR numbers only count if the show is watched within 7 days of its air date

And even then its the 18-49 demo that's looked at.

yea...the demo # is important unless the show is pulling in some sort of ridiculous number...like NCIS that does about 19-21 million viewers weekly

Then there is production cost, potential syndication money, what's the level of acceptance at a network for low ratings and the shows in development. That's why 24 gets booted but Chuck lives for another season because NBC didn't have enough shows they felt confident about.

Blackman which show are you concerned about?

but 24 had 9 seasons....at that point, you can't really feel bad

each network has different reasons for cancelling/renewal

FOX should probably be regretting that move. 24 may have been on the decline, but even in the last season they were always good for 9-10 million viewers and an 18-49 rating around 3. You know...numbers that Fringe, Lie to Me, Human Target, Good Guys, and (almost certainly) The Chicago Code don't even sniff.
