I suggest reading this book before you see The Lion, The Witch and the wardrobe.
I recently read it for the first time last week, and i can't wait to see it as a movie.
If you don't understand parts of the film, this book will greatly explain why certain things happened.
The creation of Narnia could be one of the most amazing, dumbfounding thing ever put on film if the director of the first movie directs The Magician's Nephew.
I watched the movie right after I finished the book(It's really short, so it's a quick good read.) and when i saw the Wardrobe, i noticed that its engravings are copies of some of the pictures on the chapter pages of the book.
Can't wait for Prince Caspian, and I hope the Magician's Nephew is made third. It could even be made at the same time as Prince Caspian, because none of the Characters from Caspian (except Aslan) appear in Magician's nephew.

I really liked the Magician's Nephew...I've only gotten thru the first three (chronologically) Narnia books...because to be honest I don't really know if I want to read the rest - not a big fan of Wardrobe or Horse and his Boy.

But I lurved Magician's Nephew.

I'm not sure i'm gonna read a Horse and his Boy, but i'm gonna read Wardrobe, then Caspian after I finish Star Wars Legacy of the Force: Betrayal.

The Magician's Nephew was very good book, but I doubt they will make the full movie adaptation of it.

We can expect only some flashbacks from 3rd movie.

BTW, is there a release date for Prince Caspian yet?

I agree. It's a really good book, but I doubt it would make for a good movie.
