After a few years in Hiatus the Narnia saga is headed back to the big screen! C.S. Lewis Company has entered into an agreement with The Mark Gordon Company to jointly develop and produce The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair.

I refuse to believe there is an audience for these films. They just keep failing and moving from studio to studio. Man the makers have some gumption.

The first one is one of my favorite films. And prince caspian was pretty good too. Didn't care for the third though

I never saw the third. I loved the first and liked the second. I really thought they would be bigger than they were, but I feel like the third one in particular just came and went without people even knowing about it.

Yes there is, and all the films have received money, they just don't reach the biggest ammount, but they're still generally succeful.

I think it's safe to assume the film will most likelly gross 400 million, so they just need to plan the budget accordingly

who wouldn't they are classic beloved novels that have been out longer than lord of the rings

I loved the 1st 2, thought they were great fantasy movies, didnt think much of the 3rd to be honest. I think once Peter and Susan werent coming back the movies started lacking a strong lead.

This one may be decent though, we will see.

I want this one to do good in theaters, if only so we can see The Last Battle adapted.

And I love the character of Puddleglum.

I never even saw the 3rd movie. Hopefully they can reach the quality of the first movie again.

Nice!

Anyone know which studio is gonna distribute this film?

These films are great, seriously looking forward to this one.

I thought this franchise was the next harry potter or lord of the rings.it just seems like domestically the lion the with and the wardrobe was the only one people really went out to see.i don't think they should go with another sequel I think the prequel the magicians nephew would be the way to go.

There's already a thread on this movie

This great news. I liked the first 2 movies, with the third one being being good enough to watch. I do wonder who from the original cast will come back for this fourth entry.

^original kids dont appear the lead is Eustance the kid from last movie

prince Caspian does have a role tho but he is an older man

With how this book ends. They can easily change some things around. With writing in some cameos etc

I just wonder if Will Poulter is a bit too old to play Eustice now, although he looks no older than Peter did in Prince Caspian I suppose.

I do think the Pevensies will be seriously missed from this franchise though.

With the exception of Susan, the rest of them do play minor roles starting in the middle of The Last Battle.

Well, this was unexpected. I own the special edition of the third film, and like the other two films, but I didn't expect any more of these to get made.

Interesting, without them being the main focus anymore though, I just dont see casual fans rushing out to see this or any other Narnia movies not involving them.

will they recast Caspian since in silver chair he is much older since from dawn treader to silver chair it has been like 50 years in narnia

At the end of the book, Aslan tells Eustace to drive a thorn into his paw, and his blood basically rejuvenates Caspian's older, dead body, laying in a stream, to his younger self.
