Of those three, Batista for sure, and then Cena, but I miss when The Rock had that short period right before he was stuck doing the later Fast movies when it got silly and bland blockbusters and after he was busy doing kid movies.

He had Faster, Snitch, Fast Five, and I would also include The Other Guys.

Honestly, he could have been a more serious Jason Statham if he kept picking those mid-budget-tier roles.

The Roland Emmerich part of it is definitely a problem but I feel like calling it a remake is a stretch. I don't think this is a straight remake of Lawrence of Arabia the movie as much as it is another adaptation of T.E. Lawrence's story, only this time as a show. I generally don't consider movies (or in this case a show) made about a historical subject to be remakes of whatever movie was first made about it. It's not like Titanic was a remake of A Night to Remember.

Movie Theater Chains Put $2.2B Bet on Box Office Rebound With New Upgrades

North American theater owners unveiled plans for fresh capital investments over three years to draw moviegoers out of the house with a more premium experience at the local multiplex.

The new theatrical space investment is to come from eight cinema chains in the U.S. and Canada: AMC Entertainment Inc., Regal Cinemas, Cinemark, Cineplex, Marcus Theatres Corp., B&B Theatres, Harkins Theatres and Santikos Entertainment. Together, the national and regional circuits have over 21,000 screens and bring in just over two-thirds of the North American box office.

Theater makeovers by installing luxury recliners and other amenities aren’t new for the exhibition industry. But taking advantage of the current industry rebound — which included the summer success of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Twisters — calls for recognizing that the box office per patron metric is partly driven by moviegoers paying extra for Imax and other premium theater offerings.

The latest investment from North American theater owners is set to go towards upgrading locations with laser projection technology and immersive sound systems, better food and beverage options, adding arcades and bowling to locations, and enhancing theater air conditioning, lighting, signage and carpeting.

I hope they upgrade my local AMC that still looks like it's stuck in 2008.
