Okay, as we all know when the X-Men movies came out, the comics underwent some brief changes. Not only were they decked out in black leather, but Wolverine's claws went from the backs of his hands to between his knuckles. They would remain that way until the return of the spandex in Astonishing X-Men, where their classic location returned.

So, a simple question to all of you; do you prefer Wolvie's claws in their classic spot, or in their updated movie-inspired spot?

between the knuckle, because in the comics wolverine once said he had to keep his wrist straight, the claws would come out between his knuckles if he did

so then wouldn't that mean he can control their position? the claws retract all the way into the forearm, so if he bends his wrist, they come out on the back of his had...if he leaves his wrist strait, they come out at the knuckles.

It depends on what kind of claws he has. If they are the wide knife type claws from the movie they pretty much have to come out from his knuckles for them to look anywhere near natural. If they are skinny spear like claws they can come out the back of his hands, although I still think they would look less natural than if they came from between his knuckles.

Iceman had claws a couple of times.... (Pointless, I know)

Back of the hands, those who wanted between the knuckles have been fooled into the movie standard.

Hair Gel.

Seriously though, between the knuckles. It adds to better handling and dexterity.

Well in an early marvel universe from yhe late 70's or earlt 80's it was said that they were housed inthe back of his hands and exited thru small always open wounds in between his knucles but at the very top of his hands you know the very soft part between when you nake a fist.

Between the knuckles has a greater aesthetic, but logically the backs of his hands would provide him greater dexterity. If they are between his knuckles, that limits the range of motion with his hands, in terms of grasping things.

The question is irrelevant because Wolverines claws are too long for his forearms. This means that he doesn't have claws. :) Therefore it stands to reason that they are illusions.
