The Dark Knight The Composite Eric Roberts Interviews Thread

Interesting that it won't be faithful to the comics  - lets hope Nolan keeps that frame of mind to a minimum!!

I honestly could not see his enthusiasm for this movie

1) Heath was 'Super' - Don't strain yourself or anything Roberts (he basically gave Jack Nicholason more of a compliment)

2) A fan of Michael Keaton - Not the best thing to say when your promoting your newest bat-movie starring a new actor as batman himself (found that very ignorant) , Bale could've got a mention

3) The word 'moderate' fan of batman jumped out at me - Bale practically hated batman before he gave Noaln and the character a chance. Look like this movie still hasn't had much effect on Roberts.

Bad interview, with a man who clearly wants to be elsewhere!!

oh yeah!! in the Harvey Dent flashback . . . yeah, a goddam paper folder is gonna hold off that acid

i always assumed that was joel's way of explaining the split down the middle scarring.

sigh. schumacer.

idiot.(although i enjoyed phone booth)

Christ... was the interview for Sesame Street segment or something?

oh yeah, unquestionably, and what a poor explanation it was . . . he could have at least made the folder look like it was smoking or something

I find it amazing that since he didnt kiss bale or ledgers ass, he mustve not wanted to do the movie or didnt appreciate their roles whatsoever

Good god, the guy barely mentions that he liked Keaton as Batman and people bite his head off. I love Batman, but my god I really hate Batman-fans sometimes.

^still . . . he shouldn't have really mentioned the past franchises at all . . . if not to combat how much better this one is . . . . he's supposed to be promoting this film . . . Eric Roberts has always been known as kind of a jack ass, and I can see why he's had such a lackluster career after an interview like this . . .

You know who else is a jackass?

Wait, didn't Eric say that Nolan was staying faithful to the comics in that European magazine? Why does he say that they aren't faithful in this interview?

Talk about mixed signals!

OK, now that I don't have that pesky thing called work distracting me, I'll give my reaction to this comment.

While a mob boss on trial sitting on the courtroom stand throwing lethal acid in the face of the prosecutor may work in comics - the same scene may come off as a little ******ed in the current Batman movie world. That's where I think Nolan has deviated from the source material.

I'm in agreement with Norman, I'm starting to think someone other than Maroni will scar Dent. Can't think of many other ways to stray from the comics with that character, as it's the only real notable thing he does.

al pachino should have been maroni...now that would be ****ing tight

I could see Pacino in Burton's Batman, not Nolan's. Even though Nolan worked with him (and that was his most restrained performance in years too).

The title for this thread should have been,
"******ed *****e-bag interviews arogant jackass."

How are you going to bring up a previous actor of that character in the second question?
And why didnt Jack Ass just say "Buy Batman89 on DVD, and just watch TDK on cable when it airs 5 years from now."

I gotta go its a quarter past lame.

I am betting that Maroni himself does not scar Harvey.

I agree, in reality a mob boss would never do something like that, that would instantly make him guilty of a crime. Especially in a court room in front of a damn judge. It will most likely be one of his lackeys.

It had better not be Joker or I'm going to be bitter.

Interviewer: So . . . do you think the fact that you're a moron had anything to do with you being cast as Maroni?
Roberts: uhhhhhhh . . . Heath was super?
