The Costumes: Movie vs Comic.

I'm sure this guy could too...

I love people that think they some how "get it" more then others. Just a typical sad loser with too much time on his hands.

Watchmen has great themes, and is very deep, and peers into many philosophical ideas on life, humanity and much more. But educational...does not seem to be the best word for it. But I think that is all that mans thought process could spew out. But Watchmen is also very entertaining , it had a great mix, you could not put the book down once you started.

But that is the saddest video I think I've ever seen.

I am overall happy with the movie costumes.

Silk Spectre II in the comics I found attractive in a, "oh man, she's cute I think I'd really enjoy sleeping with that adorable young woman."

While her film counter part is more, "damn!"

Nite Owl II works, I like it fine, still like his grey & brown cloth look better though. But that would have been hard I suppose just like with Bats.

Ozy, dude, I don't know yet. I understand all the reasons for his film costume and that's really cool and all, that's how actual greek armor looked. But he looks way more bad to the bone in the GN.

Dr. Manhattan, not much of a "costume" change, but I really dig on how well of a job they have done to get him to the silver screen.

I've been reading a lot of peps talk about his wang, and it makes sense that we will be seeing a lot of it, but is it for sure?

It's just really hard to picture that moment in the theatre with one of my girlfriends.

Manhattan is gonna' cock block me probably.

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!

can someone show pictures of the movie characters and comic charactes side by side and mabye what a mixture of the characters would be

Roscarch looks awsome in the movie version
Silk Spectre looks cool in the movie version but I like the comic more
Night Owl looks way too much like Batman and owl man but I never like the comics costume
I missed the comics Ozymadius costume but the movie show Ozy's sexality or what Roscarch though thus the nipples
Dr. Manhattan looks realistic in the movie so I like that more
The comedian looks perfect
so the movie is 3/5 and comics are 4/5 so it's even

Some of them are better in the book, some are better in the movie. It depends. Nite Owl looks slightly cooler in the movie costume (I still love his book costume though), but Laurie looks like she's wearing a giant yellow condom. And some of them, like Rorschach, look pretty much the same in both, while others, like Ozymandias, look COMPLETELY different in the movie.

Man you guys don't even get it. Watchmen is not to entertain. There is some deep ass s**t that it's telling you!

I like the costumes in the book for the book and the costumes in the movie for the movie.

I prefer the comic book costumes, but I'm perfectly content with the movie versions.

Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, and The Comedian are pretty much translated as faithfully as possible. Pretty much equal for me.

Nite Owl is obviously derivative of the Batman movie costumes, but I think that's appropriate for a movie. I might prefer the comic costume a hair aesthetically, but they both work equally for me as I don't believe the comic costume would work as well on film.

I prefer the movie Silk Spectre II costume. The garters and stockings approach to the costume makes a much more direct connection to her mother than the comic costume, IMO. I think it just looks better as well.

I prefer the comic Ozymandias to the movie version. The movie version makes some sense, but I think they could have gotten across the Greek armor aspect without also being derivative of Batman. I don't think it's a bad costume by any means, but I'd have liked a different direction.

I prefer all the movie costumes more than the comic. Especially the Ozymandias costume. I really don't understand people's complaints about him resembling the Batman & Robin costumes, which he doesn't. If people knew the Greek/Roman history of superior ranked officials they would know that the nipple and stomach pack area were always outlined. I'm glad they didn't decide to have his costume a bright purple with a mixture of the gold tint. Though in the book "The Art of the Film" I do like the original design of having Adrian look very similar to Alexander the Great with a red robe and golden armor.

i love both the comic costumes and the movie costumes. Well, except for Veidt's movie costume.

They both work equally well for their respective mediums, IMO.

I love both equally. The silly pajama look of the book and the more realistic modern screen interpretation. Rorschach's and Niteowl's costumes are fantastic and I cant wait to see them in action.

Though I am one of those who was hopping for rounded goggles. :p

I'm so glad the book is to educate me on this world today....y'know the world with superheros and giant blue dongs, and evil squids.

To this day the only thing I regret about the costumes is the lack of Blake's gimp mask.

Hey guys, was just looking at stills from the movie and noticed on the right of this image, could it be Nite Ow II's comic costume perhaps? If so, it would be a nice nod to it

Don't see that it could be his arctic gear or other environmental gear since they were on Archie I think, unless they changed it for the film!

Sorry if it's been discussed before!

It looks like the arctic suit to me.
