I haven't seen the original in over five years, but remember liking it to some extent. I definitely don't care for the new zombie look at all.

The trailer for this looks awesome. I'm strangly excited by it's upcoming release.

I was stoked for this remake.

Then I saw who was the main character. :/

Wasn't all that impressed with the trailer, but I'd give it a go just to see how the studio has altered the original Romero movie remake-wise.

new trailer and new posters

Like the look of this, havent seen the original but fancy this, might catch it in cinema's.

Is it me, or does anyone have the sad feeling that this might suck? The trailers don't seem to be doing it for me. They way they're doing this remake makes it look like a rip-of of films like Quarantine (ex. the government getting involved and killing people) and 28 Days Later. But, that might be just me.

I kind of agree.

In my previous post I said it might be an actual decent remake of sorts but with a second look I'm kind of changing my views.

I'm a huge Romero fan and really like the original. I think it's really lame they turned the infected into zombie type people. The great thing about the original was, similar to Invasion of the Body Snatchers, you couldn't tell who was infected. I expect one too many jump scares just from seeing the trailer and TV spots and I've had enough of that cheap way to scare people being used in just about every horror film lately.

Like I said before I'll see since since I'm a fan of Tim Olyphant and Danielle Panabaker isn't bad to look at either. It shpuld be a good movie, seeing as i haven't seen the original.

I think people going insane is creepier than the usual zombies. The crazies can run and actually think of how they're going to kills their victims.

I don't hate Olyphant but I don't get what the praise is for him with a number of people.

To me looks and acting/personality wise, he's like a mix of Vince Vaughn and Josh Duhamel. Personally I just haven't seen him anything that impressed me yet.

I've always like him ever since I seen him in Scream 2 and a movie not many I'm sure has heard of GO as the drug dealer he played in that.

I don't remember him in Scream 2 since I only saw it once. I haven't seen GO in a long ass time but I have seen him in The Girl Next Door, Hitman, Die Hard 4 and I think one more.

I want to see him try something a bit more dramatic to see if he has any range.

Radha Mitchell must have some huge mortage payments. First Surrogates, now this. What next, Transformers 3?

In one way I'm bummed because it's gonna take longer to get us a Creature From The Black Lagoon remake when Eisner dropped out. I'm partly relieved because this movie looks it could be crap.

Yeah, I think preserving the original's do-they-or-don't-they suspense is better than this remake's zombie look on the infected. We have way too many zombie flicks and this will be lost among the 28 Days Later, Zombieland, and crappy Resident Evil sequels.

Hey, at least 28 Days Later and Zombieland were good. Resident Evil... that franchise was **** to begin with. I mean jumping over lasers???

I think we should atleast see the film before pissing all over it. But again its a remake, so people are gonna be the same heads stuck up their arses routine as usual.
