You never know though! They could always cancel the movie at any time, since that’s a thing that studios do now!

    ****, I hope so.
Some things do not need to be updated.
There are films which should not be remade and this one of them. No production could recapture the magic of the original, which is forever haunted by Lee's passing ( literally shot to death while filming his character being shot to death).

I would actually much rather see a mediocre sequel with different characters than have modern day Hollywood **** on Lee's legacy by making a mediocre remake.

There have been multiple sequels and a TV adaptation. None of them have impacted the original film or Lee’s legacy. If you don’t support the film, fine, just don’t watch it. Wishing for the hard work of an entire cast and crew to be canceled unceremoniously is just petty.

The original is the first movie I can ever remember seeing. I would spend my lunches in high school at Borders reading the graphic novel. I have a tattoo based on it because it’s so important to me. But it ain’t a perfect film.

Shelly isn’t a character. She’s a plot device. Just there to be assaulted and murdered so Eric can be vengeful. There’s definite room for improvement and that alone is enough for me to give this a chance. Plus Bill and Twigs are fantastic entertainers. So yeah, this deserves a fair shake imo.

I mean… it was going to happen sooner or later. I don’t know if it will be good (probably not) but I like Skarsgard so I’ll give it a chance.

Wow didn't realise this had even gone into production let alone finished. The first movie is a classic so interested to see what they do with this.

Yeah the original was on the other night on Showtime and yeah still a classic so I’m rooting for this one to at least be decent. Great album too.

Yeah the soundtrack to the original was perfect.

Ten weeks isn't much time for filming. Either the majority of it was studio-based or they only filmed on a few select locations. Must be a pretty small budget, too.

This is not a film that needs a superhero-sized budget.

Yeah I mean, John Wick and The Northman both filmed within like 12 or 13 weeks I believe. I can’t imagine this being any more expensive or elaborate than those, so 10 weeks sounds about right to me.

I'm not saying a shorter schedule or smaller budget is a bad thing, I just thought it was funny that that article described the shoot as "lengthy." It's definitely more of an indie production, which I like, I just hope that the lower budget doesn't result in it looking cheap.

I don't really have any stake in this film. I'm satisfied with the original, and Bill Skarsgard's never impressed me. Rupert Sanders directing doesn't exactly inspire confidence, either.

    Rupert Sanders? Ugh!
I actually wanted to make sure I wasn't judging him based on two movies that weren't good...so I looked him up and thats ALL HE'S DONE???!! How did this guy go from shorts to a big budget Snow White?

I think Sanders has shown to some good dark tendencies in his movies which gives me hope as The Crow is a dark story and the original had those dark sensibilities so I hope this one does too. A smaller budget may bring better out of Sanders also.

Ugh, I forgot Sanders was directing this. Yeah, he doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. Snow White was mediocre and Ghost in the Shell was god-awful.

So is it a show or a movie?

Surprised we haven't had any photos from the shoot.

    Film. :yay:

I’m surprised we haven’t had photos or additional cast members aside from Skarsgard, Twigs and Danny Huston.

Great actor! First time I saw him as a kid was after watching 30 Days of Night! Very menacing!

He is indeed and plays a great bad guy. Guessing he must be Top Dollar?

Got my hands on The Crow graphic novel last week so finally going to read it.
