I'm willing to give it a chance. I'm just shocked still no trailer and the release is right around the corner.

I won't lie..... some of the leaked production pictures has me a bit worried. But I'm giving the trailer a chance to wow me before making my final decision.
 
It’s hard to have high hopes given the director, but I’ll give it a chance for the leads and because I love this property.
 
They didn't released anything because the movie have nothing to do with the comic which is hilarious because as much as amazing is the original film, it's way different from the comic, so instead of making more faithful adaptation of the comic they've made something completely different.
Imagine this... Eric (with mullet) and Shelly, drug addicts, got locked up in some institution, they escaped and met the main villain who is connected to Shelly's past and who extend his life by taking souls of his victims. They both gets killed by his thugs. The Crow bring back Eric and although he can heal, he can't fight, get beat and feel pain and for most of the movie he has no classic makeup until the final when he "transform"... He also doesn't have crow with him.

As the host says, "take all early info with a grain of salt". I have to say the early screening reactions to Neon colors and K-Pop vibe inspiration is quite worrisome. Unfortunately, this could hold some truth compared to the couple of leaked production pictures of Skarsgard from The Crow set. I Believe they were posted here on this forum, but I've seen them in a few places.

It is too early to say for sure as we've yet to see any actual teaser, trailer or official images. But I would be lying if I didn't admit my optimism is sinking with the info in this video as well as the lack of ANY type of promotion for a film that is supposedly released in June of this year.

I need more context around the K-Pop piece. That’s a pretty varied genre. It’d be like saying the original film was rock influenced.

It’s definitely a weird mashup and not one I think Sanders can pull off, but still I’d like to know more
 
The stuff we’re hearing doesn’t sound great. But Skarsgard always brings it and Sanders has a good eye for visuals at least.

More context would indeed be helpful. But my mind instantly went "Oh.... so completely opposite of Dark and Goth like".

Time will tell. But I'm definitely not feeling good about it.
 
It’s funny because I was gonna say the neon K-Pop thing makes me think of Suicide Squad. We’ll see once a trailer drops. Bill is a much more capable actor than Leto at least.

I'll still check out the trailer. I've got to at least give it a chance to be fair. All my previous posts in this thread (until the last couple of days) I had remained hopeful and positive. But I'm just not liking what I'm reading and seeing.
 
The tattoos are obviously minimal effort but the film itself may be fine. I'm not expecting anything like the original but this'll probably end up a pop-action flick of a guy in Crow makeup. I'll certainly still give it a chance
 
Personally, I'm totally open to different take on the material. I do not need a 1:1 remake or redo of the original film with the same aesthetic. In fact, that would be even more lame. So we'll see how it goes.

As for the look, I'm sure he will look cool. But definitely a little disappointed that he doesn't have the white face paint. For whatever reason, that's something they shied away from even in the "sequels" to the original film.

Speaking of the sequels, even though it is technically a "bad" movie, I have a weird soft spot for City of Angels. There is some haunting and beautiful imagery in there.
 
Technically? City of Angels is cool, period.

The first photo? It looks like as if Kodi Smit-McPhee was cast as... Some drug addict.

I hate it, they shouldn't even use the characters from the comic, if this is not nothing like the comic, just make original characters.
 
I also have like 20 tattoos, so I can't be mad about them here. It just depends on if they match his characterization. The thing with Leto's Joker is that the tattoos coupled with his personality made him come off like a pick-me. They were super on-the-nose (one literally just said JOKER lol) and he was trying too hard to seem crazy.

His tattoos here just seem like random **** he's gotten over the years, which rings more truthful to me. But again, will just have to see how the design fits into things.

Does seem like the white face paint is missing though and that's disappointing.
