Who is playing Silas? Is THAT Paul Bettany? They definitely need to sign him for the Joker then, he actually looks quite scary.

Yeah thats Bettany, the poster actually reminds me of Darth Sidious

Darn Hunter, Nice pics...
That Silas sure looks like one creppy mofo.

Those are awsome posters. I'm glad the movie is not going to 'suffer' anymore. Dan Brown was considered innocent on that damed case. :)

So tell me something, I havent read the book and if I did id know id be disappointed with all the hype surrounding it. The movie looks pretty generic. Why do I wanna watch this?

Well I can't speak for the movie as I haven't seen it yet(obviously). The book is very thought provoking and I assume it'll maintain that within the movie too.

It's one of those "hmm, could it be true?" type of books, you know?

Angels and Demons is a better book by Dan Brown and is a lot more intricate compared to The Da Vinci Code. Now I wish they made a movie out of that book, then proceeded to do The Da Vinci Code as a prequel.

To watch The Da Vinci Code is your decision alone.

Answer: Unless you have a Tom Hanks or Audrey Tatou obsession, you don't.

The book was formulaic and trite (despite its constant wannabe-cliffhagers and pseudo-scholarly info), and the movie will be the same.

I dont think you'd be disappointed by the book, unless you are a little jaded. Its not a masterpiece but it is a seriously fun page turner. Its one of those books you cant wait to see what happens next. The movie hopefully will portray this and with Howard behind the camera it should be quite well crafted. Its a bit of a treasure hunt with historical artifacts in places like museums and churches. Personally Im really looking forward to it and from the sales of the book, now in paperback and selling like hotcakes still, Im sure a lot of people are. Plus the cast is phenomenal.

Yea,However I was never really worried, I allways new the movie would come out.

The movie would of never been cancelled or delayed because there really was no case against brown. people got worried for no reason. and i'm no legal expert, but since the case was filed in england, would the movie in the states or anywhere else for that matter even be delayed if the case did go to trial? just wondering.

i just finished reading the book yesterday .... oh s**t!!! i cant wait

I cant wait to see people protesting outside the theatres

the movie worries me. like the book theirs too much explaining going around, (it doesnt seem to work well in the movie) and the girl is just wrong cast. ugh

(I'm Christian)

I've already seen some zealots protest that the book claims that Jesus didn't die on the cross. WRONG! Just like they said that Jesus was involved in a homosexual relationship in The Last Temptation of Christ when it came out.

How is audrey tautou a miscast? I think she is an excellent choice. And instead of her, who would you have liked to be Sophie?
