Angels and Demons

I stay away from places with reviews and stuff, the closest i come to keeping tabs on movies is BOM... it has a B- average there so far. Seems more accurate to me (even if as usual there's people giving F's or 1's without even watching the movie :hehe:)

I just noticed it's doing better on the Rottencommunity section....66% and 6.2/10 !

i hate how people expect oscar worthy movies in summer flicks...and give them awful reviews because they are...wait for it...summer flicks.

I didn't expect it to get the best reviews of the world but at least to be more considered than the DVC !

Saw this film a few hours ago, after avoiding it for a while now. All I really need to say is that this is a bad movie it isn’t entertaining it isn’t intriguing just a bad bad movie. This is coming from someone who loved the DVC, I cant think of a single good thing to say about this film. Its a shame Ron Howard listened to critics and speed the pace up in this film as opposed to the detailed pacing of the DVC. Ron Howard really needs to step away from working on Dan Browns books and get to working on interesting new projects as his certainly got the talent for them.

Overall rating: 4/10.

Not he bad movie someone is saying, better than the book anyway.
It was fun getting out of the theatre and being in the same places where Langdon was running in.

Lucky u, i hope i get the chance to go to some of the places in the movie (and DVC as a matter of fact) at some point :woot:

Yeah, my sister went and returned with some awesome pictures. She said the Vatican was an interesting place to visit for sure. The size and wealth of the place was overwhelming.

It blows my mind to think that some here say that this movie isn't entertaining at all...that they 'can't think of one good thing about it'. Did you even watch it?

I think the pacing worked for the movie. It kept you glued to the screen the whole time. And the score...wow!

I absolutely loved this movie!

It has its flaws. A lot in fact. While I enjoyed the movie, theres a **** load of issues. So I can understand why someone would hate it.

The movie was okay, I missed the first quarter of it do to drunken *******s in front of me, but, they got tossed, and I got a free ticket to any movie of my choice at any time :).

One thing I noticed at my last screening was the fact that Langdon's claustrophobia doesn't seem to be an issue this time

...it's also important to remember that Angels & Demons was released before The DaVinci Code.

the movie is meant to be a sequel...and even in the book there are references to his claustrophobia !

MiniBond isn't so mini in the sense department.

You weren't being rude. It was a compliment

The point remains that Angels & Demons was released before The DaVinci Code. Langdon's claustrophobia in DVC is a result of the events of A&D. (If I remember correctly.)

No it wasn't! It was because when he was younger he fell down a well into a cave and then loads of bats... wait.

so I'm not the only who thought about batman when reading this :woot:

Yeah, Langdon is claustrophobic because he fell down in a well and spent several hours in it before being rescued !
