You dont know how hard this was...but its gonna happen. im just sitting, counting the days till another leak.
but here it is!!!
To set it, this script is Batman vs. The Joker plain and simple. He IS the villain, and has just as much depth of Bruce/Batman. I can see why they chose Ledger over a guy like Bettany. He is physical as well a smental and proves more thren enough of a challenge for Gotham and co. Also, bare warning-This script, like Begins, in a very complicated manner, uses flashbacks to establish characters and what has happened. The flashbacks completely die out in the second half, which like Begins, shifts from set up to action in a very big way.
The Script opens predictably in downtown Gotham with a cool little possible homage to Batman 1989 with Batman foiling a mugging of a family by two thugs, only this is more violent and the people witness as they are going to die. After the battle, we follow Batman to the batmobile. We fllow his stealth ride back to what is now a fixed up Wayne Manor. He takes of his mask, talks with alfred, and heads inside. Once inside, we meet someone i sure as did not expect-a pre-catwoman selina kyle. This is Bruce's new girlfriend, and shes a huge character in this script. It's evident their madly in love-no mention of rachel yet-and we fade out. We quickly zone one trailing two cop squad cars in a high speed chase in downtown gotham, around 2 A.M., chasing a large Hum-vee, which tanks through everything in sight-even people! It takes very little time to find out this is the "Joker suspect" the cops have been after for months. The car rolls into a tight alley and dissappears. The cops spot a lone open door and go to it in cover formation, one cop kicking it open-suddenly from the windows in the alley, green gas oozes out. Within seconds the men are on thre ground, dead. We see the Joker's shiny black shoes and dark purple legs, and hear a slight snicker.
Back at Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne is asleep, having a terrible nightmare. We see RACHEL DAWES in his dream, we see her get SHOT. Bruce awakens-it was a nightmare. It is evident he is still very much in love with Rachel, too.
I'll be back to finish it up, I have to run for now!
