This is going to be A multi-platform, branded block of original programming and exclusive content based on the DC Comics library of legendary character properties, The block will feature such shows as "Green Lantern: The Animated Series", "Young Justice", Claymation Batman shorts, Plastic Man shorts, Tiny Titans shorts, Leggo Batman shorts, and a new short featuring Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Girl titleled "Super Best Friends Forever".

DC Nation is developed in partnership with Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. The all-new venture will harness the publishing, theatrical and television assets together for one powerful on-air block on Cartoon Network with exclusive online content. Please give your comments on this series here.

Fascinating. A variety cartoon with a superhero bent. Something new and experimental and potentially fun. Will also likely work as a platfrom for new DCU toons and shows. If all else fails, it can still show reruns of GLTAS and YJ, and if desperate, even pull out some old B/S:TAS and Teen Titans. Sounds really solid to me.

To be totally honest, I most look forward to Super BFFs. A blonde, a redhead and a brunette. Very classic, very simple. With a Teen Titans cartoon flavor, could be very successful, and lead to a series pickup.

Apparently they had success with their last run of shorts (Return of Black Adam, et al) because they seem to feel like this is a good way to get some money rolling, keep the spitwads coming and see what sticks...

Nice, nice.

Im looking forward to seeing the shorts, particularly the claymation Batman short.

Green Lantern the sanimated series is pretty good as well.

Maybe they can finally air the lost extra season of JLU.

I can't wait until The DC Nation Block premeires on Cartoon Network.

It never aired. I have a friend who worked for Cartoon Network and he saw it in one of the vaults they have. It was supposed to start after the Darkseid season. He says there's an awesome 2 parter featuring the Legion.

I hope it's aired on The DC Nation Block.

That would be cool. Some of the stuff he saw on it might possibly top the Darkseid episode.

Do you remember the old Superfriends episode wherwle the Legion of Doom went back and changed the origins of Superman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman? They did a couple of episodes like that.

That would be awesome to watch,if the episodes get aired.

I remember trying to get him to burn me a copy. I would keep it a secret but he never would.

:awesome:

Maybe they can bring back old episodes of Superfriends during the block.

Claymation Batman and Robin

I'm pretty sure the fans over at Batman-on-Film will not like this short, but you've got to give DC credit for making the effort of getting their properties out there. It seems like Marvel is going the other direction in that aspect.

I loved this short.

It makes you wonder why or when Disney XD will do a similar type of show for Marvel Comics.

Here's a clip from Sam Register, Executive VP of Creative Affairs at Warner Bros giving a presentation on the new DC Nation block on Cartoon Network. He also shows more clips of some of the shows that will be on the 2-hour block.

Cant wait for the block to start do we have official launch date yet.
