I think Daredevil made it clear nothing ever really happened between them.

DD and Claire's chemistry was much better than her and Luke, felt more heat between them
DD's got Elektra though, and they were even more fun together (definitely not Matt and Karen, that relationship is turrible)

but idk, Luke and Claire did absolutely nothing for me
maybe it's just because I had pretty much checked out by the end of the 'Cage' series

I'm just glad Luke's not with Jessica. Not trying to be offensive but it annoys the hell out of me when Minorities Males can't get a love interest unless the Female is Caucasian. Can't stand that in every Will Smith/Rock movie.

Plus Luke & Claire predates Luke/Jessica in the comics so I'm cool. And I was really wondering will they/won't they for most of their scene's.

The whole "I'm not sleeping with you... You don't even drink coffee!" Exchange was hilarious to me.

The big hug & kiss moment and lead to eventual coffee post Seagate release scenes are gonna get a lot of chatter on release day Friday on Twitter I think m

Idk they felt more brother/sisterly to me than like a couple, seemed kinda icky to see them make out by the end of LC s1
Besides, Luke's best chemistry is with Misty anyway :o

I like the Luke and Claire relationship, other than she sort of "broke up" with Matt for silly reasons and then got into a relationship with Luke Cage. Then again, I'd hardly even call what Matt and Claire had a relationship. They made out like once that I recall.

Luke and Misty seemed like they could've been a couple. They even did the deed. Are Iron Fist and Misty meant to be a couple now?

We won't know until Defenders which is the next time we will see Misty. And that's at the earliest. They might not take that relationship far in just eight episodes.

Misty clearly seemed to still be very much attracted to Luke Cage, but he had already moved on to Claire Temple. He pretty much moved on from her after finding out she was a cop.

There was definitely a spark and connection between them, but it might've been more lust than actual love. But in the interrogation episode, she was talking about Luke without saying his name to the psychiatrist, and pointing out that he treated her with respect and not like some sex object.

Not a fan of Luke and Claire, didn't like Luke hooking up with Misty either.

Not really cool with Luke and Danny being Eskimo brothers.

I'm cool with it depending on how it's executed. I think it could be a good source of humor and tension if they go there. Like it being so obvious, but Danny is too naive to get it. But if it's mishandled, we'll see.

Almost every love interest will smith has ever had has been black or Latina. The few times he has had a white love interest in a movie it never really went anywhere. Will smith even talked about how he wanted to do a movie with Cameron Diaz but Hollywood execs shot it down because they don't think a interracial romantic comedy is marketable.

The rock is black/samoan but he is seen as racially ambiguous to most people that don't know his background.

I thought like and Claire had better chemistry than matt and Claire. I didn't like Luke hooking up with misty.

I don't mind luke being with Claire. Jessica is my favorite out of all 4 characters and she is a million times more interesting than Luke. It's probably inevitable but i don't need to see Jessica and Luke together. I never understood what she saw in him any. Such a generic good guy. I know it's not gonna happen but Matt and Jessica would be way more interesting to me.

Agreed on all this.

I prefer wiener cousins lol

and whatever, that just makes them fully 'bros' :o:woot:

Well in the comics he's not a "generic good guy" he's a badass mothaf***a. I agree that the Netflix versions probably wouldn't last very long as a couple though...

Colter has talked about how he only wanted to take the role of Luke Cage if he could do it in a way he wanted. It seems like Marvel were happy to agree with him. Colter and Lance Gross were the final two for the role of Cage. Neither actors have a particularly tough guy from the streets vibe so it was clearly Marvel were not going in that direction.

Mike Colter brings some of his own southern gentleman characteristics to the role of Cage.

Why would Jessica Jones not want to be with a good guy?
Jessica was slave to a homicidal controlling rapist.

Luke is a nice attractive guy. Luke also has powers so understands the issues that come with that as well. They can sleep together without worrying about hurting each other.

My only problem with Luke and Claire is that they were written and the way played off each other it felt much more like a platonic relationship. That when it turned romantic/sexual it was sudden and felt forced. As a result it comes off as unauthentic. As oppose to Luke with Jessica or Misty where the sexual chemistry was written from the start. They just needed a rewrite to make the romance between those a little two more believable.

Idk, Jess just seems like the type who'd wouldn't be particularly attracted to the nice guy
not that she wants a "bad boy" but at least someone with a little edge to em
seems like she'd date a good guy for a while, and then find herself daydreaming of hookin' up with Gambit or something

word.

I wonder what kind of chemistry Jessica and Matt will have. Should be interesting.

I'm still here for Matt and Claire, I love them. They were my favorite.

I wonder if it will be brought up at any point in a conversation that the company Rand industries, was responsible for Matt Murdock losing his eye sight and gaining his powers. I can see that as being a sore subject between Daniel Rand and Matt Murdock.

Well, it was only in the production set that it was Rand, but we never actually saw the Rand logo on the truck in the episode. As far as I could tell.

I can't really see it. A truck got into a collision, and spilled some hazmats. Even if it were being driven recklessly and according to company policy ( which we have no evidence for either ), why would Matt hold a grudge 20 years later with someone who was a kid then?

metaphysician, well it might have more to do with Harold Meachum than Danny Rand, but who knows. It might never come up at all.

Granted, it did come up with Jessica Jones. IGH was the company carrying the chemicals that gave her powers and it was also the company that experimented on Will Simpson and gave him the super strength meds.

I would like for the connection to come up, but not to cause any friction between Matt and Danny.

If anything, it should be a bonding moment between them in hating what Rand Industries had become while Danny was gone. (Assuming Meachum was in control of Rand Industries during the accident--not sure how the timeline works out).

Scarecrow_King, based on what we know about Danny Rand and Matt Murdock's age, the accident probably happened before the plane crash
