Well, it was only in the production set that it was Rand, but we never actually saw the Rand logo on the truck in the episode. As far as I could tell.

Yeah, you are right, because I remember looking for it in the show and being disappointed when I couldn't see the "Rand" logo on the truck. However, we know from the set photos that was the intent. It simply seemed like the camera angles didn't capture it, and it was an oversight. So the question becomes we know it was there, but does the fact it was not shown on screen mean it is not canon to the MCU? If it is canon it could set up an interesting dynamic between the two of them.

Well it could've been captured, but they don't plan to revisit it until later? But I was in the same boat. Since we saw it in the set photos, I assumed it would be in the show but it never came up. However, being fair it could still come up again at some point.

Maybe Rand was into some weird experimental gooey stuff at some point and it was Harold Meachum's fault.

I would like for the connection to come up, but not to cause any friction between Matt and Danny.

If anything, it should be a bonding moment between them in hating what Rand Industries had become while Danny was gone. (Assuming Meachum was in control of Rand Industries during the accident--not sure how the timeline works out).

I like the idea of them bonding and connecting, because of Rand Industries having such a large impact on both of their lives. No pun intended.

Well if they filmed it and held on to the footage with the intent to use it later as one of Matt's memories in the Defenders. Simply Genius! I think that past connection would surprise and excite most of the general audience, to the point that it could be considered an unexpected twist for most. Also, I think that revealing it in Defenders would make a greater impact as you get to know Daniel Rand. As opposed to in Daredevil it would have gone virtually unnoticed with the general public viewing it as nothing of importance. Having it in Defenders definitely would give it more significance.

In case anyone's wondering what we're talking about.

I remember looking for the rand logo on that truck during the show. could never find it.

We won't know until Defenders which is the next time we will see Misty. And that's at the earliest. They might not take that relationship far in just eight episodes.

Misty clearly seemed to still be very much attracted to Luke Cage, but he had already moved on to Claire Temple. He pretty much moved on from her after finding out she was a cop.

There was definitely a spark and connection between them, but it might've been more lust than actual love. But in the interrogation episode, she was talking about Luke without saying his name to the psychiatrist, and pointing out that he treated her with respect and not like some sex object.

Uhh...I'm pretty sure Misty was only looking for a one night stand. Luke is the one who acted like he wanted more and was confused as to why Misty was suddenly hostile towards him. That isn't to say Misty wasn't still attracted to Luke but that part of her story was more so about how their ONS affected her career.

The only romantic relationships that interest me going forward are Matt/Elektra and Misty/Danny. I expect good things for them in Defenders, with Matt being confronted with Elektra's "resurrection" and Misty/Danny meeting for the first time.

Are they going to show as gratuitous sex between Iron Fist and Misty as between Cage and Misty? Sometimes that first episode felt like it was killing time.

Ha. I wouldn't describe it as gratuitous. Their ONS set the stage, so to speak, for the dynamic we see between them in future episodes.

I'm not expecting any sex between Misty and Danny in Defenders. I mean, I wouldn't be against it but I don't think they'll be moving that fast. Something tells me that Danny will have to convince Misty that he's even worth a ONS. lol Not that Danny isn't a handsome man but he's younger than Misty and doesn't exactly seem like her type. Plus, I bet Misty is a little more jaded now. We'll see but I'm thinking the writers will play up the age/experience difference.

I'm sure she was at first. But you can't tell me there weren't some feelings there are no part. Case in point what he said to her psychiatrist during the interrogation. Also, when she sees that he's together with Claire, there's almost a sense of "Damn, I let him get away."

Matt can't really be with Elektra long-term though.

The sex scenes for this show should go further anyway, ala True Blood.

What does True Blood do? Or rather, what does it show?

Let's just say before 2008, Anna Paquin never did nudity.

That's why, True Blood.

My point is this. These shows are TV-MA. They are on Netflix, which is a subscriber-based service. Adults don't mind getting adult content on Netflix. Most the viewers aren't prudes. So since they are TV-MA, I'm just saying go full bore.

There was nudity in Luke Cage though. Misty showed her breasts didn't she?

Well that all depends on the actress too and whether she's willing to go that far. Obviously Krystin Ritter wasn't, otherwise she would've shown even some side boob. I think she kept her bra on at least. Not even a bare back.

Yes some of it is how far the actors are willing to go, but just for example, Elodie Yung has done nude work before.

The shows have held back in certain areas. Certainly not in terms of blood, violence, or gore, but definitely when it comes to curse words and also sex. There is sexuality, but it's very muted. The sex scenes we've seen so far are basically PG-13 sex scenes. Austin Powers films were more explicit.

They are clearly holding back in these areas because it's the Marvel brand.

Well if James Bond doesn't even show any stuff, and that's known for its sexy women and how Bond beds every Bond girl, and it doesn't have swearing either, then Marvel are hardly going to cross that line themselves. They want more mass appeal.

Has any comic book movie had full on sex or nudity?

I really hope that Marvel was able to secure a considerable amount of funds to be used for this show's budget. I'm not expecting anything akin to that from the likes that Agents of Shield has to work with, but considering the scope of this show, I hope that it looks more expensive than previous MCU based Netflix shows.

I also hope that we have a few new characters introduced that haven't appeared in previous shows so that this show can have its own identity and doesn't simply feel like a mash up of everyone from every other show.

Nope. It's actually the opposite. Simone herself has talked about this and basically shoots down the idea that Misty had lingering feelings for Luke. Watch this interview (the Misty/Luke/Claire talk starts around 3:50). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrOIhyx6GfQ

Yeah I don't believe it.

Yes. Watchmen. 300. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Yeah I don't believe it.

Oh. lol Not sure why you are so adamant about it. I personally saw nothing in the script or the acting that suggested Misty had lingering feelings but we're all entitled to our own interpretation, of course.

Listen, I don't think she's going to be pining away for Luke for the rest of her life. I just got the sense that maybe there is some regret for her that things didn't go further and even a little envy toward Claire that she's the new woman in his life.

Yup, granted most of these aren't superhero stories, but they are "comic book films" ;) .
