Colleen Wing probably has one of the easiest costumes to adapt anyway. It's not like a fancy costume. It's just a white jumpsuit.

If she never gets one, I think they will just have references to it like in the photos above.

Just like Danny's never getting his costume. Just references like that green shirt in the EW promo images.

Luke and Jess are fine as is, but Danny should get a costume, and Misty Knight should too...her costume could look awesome...still pissed they teased us with the arm thing and then didn't do it in LC

For some reason, EW only had the second part of this interview posted back when I read it, so I missed the part where they talked about Doug leaving. That is interesting. Thanks. I wonder if they're teaming up again for DD Season 3 or is Marco going solo on that?

I hope that won't be problematic. I think Daredevil season 2 did get a bit disjointed toward the end and all the subplots and characters and gelling them together.

It's been confirmed by various sources who saw the IF Yew York footage that Colleen fights in her white jumpsuit in the cage fight. You can actually see it in her Defenders promo in the official Defenders twitter.

Of course it's easier to assume that Marvel and Netflix have something against suits despite the fact that most people's iconic looks have been adapted. Cage is wearing the yellow t-shirt, DD/Elektra/Punisher have costumes and Wing has at least for a scene her costume.

I Have no idea. They said the scripts were done before he left. I hoping that it won't feel disjointed with it being 8 episodes

You are right. It's hyperbolic exagerration. The fact is that most characters who have costumes in comics do have costumes of some sort in the Netflix shows.

That is a FACT. If you really want to convince yourself Iron Fist won't have a costume, go ahead. I'm done with this song and dance. I judge by the precedent. And the precedent shows that they will be a costume modernized or not.

How is it a copout? DD's costume is modernized yet it's complete recognizable with classic elements and you can tell THIS IS DAREDEVIL. same with Punisher. They didn't go with the onesie, white gloves 80s Castle, they went with Ennis's look and it was still Punisher.

Elektra wasn't dressed like a stripper with minimum protection, her costume made sense for a non-invincieble individual and still had the red in it. The Netflix shows aren't doing anything differently from the MCU movies. The costumes are a bit more grounded but you can still tell who they represent. Another example:

Except they waited until the very last episode to show him get his costume for Punisher, and we barely even saw him do anything in it.

Elektra's costume isn't all that iconic besides having the sai and the red leotard. Yeah she got a costume, but again her updated one wasn't until the final episode.

To me it's a copout because it's a pattern developing, and it seems like the characters who do have really classic costumes feels extremely stripped down. The skull motif is a big part of The Punisher. In the original Dolph Lundgren movie, they took it off his costume because they thought it looked stupid. And it was a huge mark against the movie.

I don't like what was done with Zemo in Civil War either. It was definitely Zemo in name only. To me the iconography and costumes for these heroes are important parts of them, and I'm annoyed that on Netflix it seems like such a chore to see it happen.

Just for example, why can't Daredevil have his DD symbol now? He's well established as Daredevil. OK, no one was calling him Daredevil until the tail end of the first season. But he was constantly getting his costume worked on throughout season two, it could've been tweaked to add it in.
