I don't think I or anyone else drew a comparison, but yeah, it probably will be. It's hard for a game not to be better than Final Fantasy, seeing as how the series has been complete and utter garbage for about ten years now.

Enchanted Arms is quite good for a first attempt at a 360 traditional RPG. You won't find anything exceptional here, nor will you find anything new. If you're looking for a solid, turn-based RPG, then you could do far worse than Enchanted Arms. "VII" is a classic for some reason, but "XIII" was a poor love story, "IX" ... "X" is a joke, and "XII" is an exeedingly bad MMORPG.

So I picked up Enchanted Arms and I gotta say, the turn based fighting is done pretty sweet. Alot better then anything Final Fantasy has done to date.

I have this game on preorder, I guess I'll pick it up today. I was going to wait for EB to call me and tell me they have it in and stuff, but then I remembered that EB is staffed with **** and idiots that never call to tell me that, even when I have a fully paid off game waiting for me, so yeah. I'll give impressions on how many times better than FF it is later.

I have no problems with Enchanted Arms. Hell, it's about time that the Xbox brand is getting some RPGs and hopefully this will help it in the Japanese market. I'm just saying that some people would be calling this game complete crap if it were a Playstation 3 game (just like how people are calling the Final Fantasy series complete crap here and how the Sony fanboys are calling this game crap.)

I'm sure a very select few would be. I'm sure the majority of the people in here who have posted good things about it, myself included, legitimately think they're going to like the game, and legitimately dislike the Final Fantasy series, independent of this console wars crap, and I'm also sure that this "oh well you'd like it if it were on x system instead of y system" stuff is thrown around way too much to help people rationalize why people disagree with them.

All the critics, and the vast majority of the public would disagree with you.

The series repeatedly gets top notch reviews, XII most recently scoring 40/40 in Famitsu, and the games have always sold brilliantly with the public. Such critical acclaim and general popularity doesn't come from a series that can be branded 'crap'.
