The conspiracy theorists are all wrong. I have always been upfront with the fact that it is a shortened version of my name. No one believes me though.

My name came from Bruce Campbell's character named Ashley "Ash" J. Williams in the Evil Dead movies. I'm a huge Evil Dead/Bruce Campbell fan, so the name stuck. Plus, it allows me to really get into character and throw out Ash's one-liners whenever I feel like it.

I am a fan of LOTR trilogy, and i like the idea of rings bearing great power. Vilya was Elrond's ring of power, one of three elven rings forged and is said to be the mightiest. The flash flood that defeated the nazguls when they were chasing Arwen on horseback was actually caused by it.

Ahura Mazda was the Zoroastrian name of the God that represented all that was good and wise. Given I am originaly Persian and that I was looking for a supernatural name from mythology, I thought this would be the best fit.

My friend was working on a comic at the time, which is looking to be published. Anyways, the title of his character was something German.

I was just signing on to AOL for the first time and was only getting names like Coolguy13423. So I liked Archangel and because of what my friend was working on, it became Erzengel.

Because his non Asian half is German.

He's also half Ewok.
