Guys check out my group too. When on facebook just search for:

Marvel Movies!

Oh and take a look at the list of officers on that site. You'll be surprised quite a bit.

Yah - those rich Eden Prairie kids are spoiled rotten, don'cha know!

High schoolers are partying. Wow, that's the shock of the century.

That's not the shocking/stupid thing (though it IS stupid)... it's the fact that they posted pictures of themselves doing stupid illegal things and are crying that they got caught.

Except for the fact that they are. :whatever:

I don't understand how they are.

People get cancer; if their cancer goes away, do they still have it?

If smokers quit smoking, are they still smokers?

Alcoholics should be the same way. If they stop drinking for years, decades, the rest of their lives, should they still be considered alcoholics?

The repercussions of something like this are incredibly extreme and degrading. By saying people can be alcoholics forever, that insinuates that they never give up their addiction to alcohol. The label which comes with being an alcoholic is a permanent branding which completely contorts society's impression of a person. If someone hears the phrase "President Bush is an alcoholic," they automatically get an image in their head of an irresponsible person who drinks his weight in booze every night-- despite the fact that he's been sober for roughly two decades.

The disease may be a psychological addiction; but whoever came up with this finding should have been intelligent enough to realize the social stigmas which would long-follow recovering and recovered alcoholics. It's an easy way to label someone.

But if we have to go by what society thinks we should think of people like this, then fine. I withdraw my earlier statement, and replace it with the following:

President Bush is a recovering alcoholic. He was smart enough to get his act together after his disastrous undergraduate experiences, and went on to get an MBA-- which no other sitting President has ever received. Following that, he became a very successful and powerful businessman, before he went on to not only defeat the popular sitting governor in Texas, but later, President of the United States. People can transpire to great things after overcoming addiction and hard times; who's to say these Facebook morons won't do the same thing?

And before you can say that's an endorsement of him... just don't.

Truth, so beautiful in it's eternal simplicity...

Teenagers = ****ing stupid

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Welcome to the Hotel California.

Here's something ridiculous for you all.

Me and a friend were throwing insults around on myspace, and than he said "I'm going to tell the principle" and then I replied with "lol, tell him, f4g!" than I get called down to the office and was given 4 detentions for that, like wtf?

Maybe you should be spending your time in school learning to write properly. Who knows, it may come in handy some day.

No, I was at home, the next day I was called down.

stop making friends with tattletales.

He didn't say it, someone looked at our myspaces and told.

Rule 482: Never insult anyone in writing.

He said he could sue me and that he was thinking about it, all I did was say, go ahead, tell him.

It's the internet, get used to acrynoms and bad grammar, n00b. :o

ha, so now they're punishing you for things you do at home? That's what your mommy is for. Your school sucks.:o

No, I was at home, the next day I was called down.
its little things like this that help when making a point. and if this is true then i would tell them to **** off and try to prove it was me and that it wasn't someone else that was using my name or that it was even me at all and some one that just had some pictures of me.

Don't worry, I later on went back into the Principal's office and debated this with him, he apologized and understood that he has no right to punish me for something I said at home, to another friend that has nothing to do him other than his name being mentioned.
