My Lord. People have no respect for their parents these days. You'd have to be a pretty big whiny, bratty ingrate to think suing the woman who gave birth to you over a Facebook page could ever be right.
**** I hope the kid wins.
Case in point.

Wonder why you'd side with someone who was butting into someone else's personal business....

if i had a kid that tried this, guess what, you no longer have a computer....or for that matter, any other luxuries. you get a roof and food. once you learn how to respect that and how its provided for you, then we'll consider the other things....

*Meanwhile Motown Marvel posts on his son's facebook "I wet the bed" then changes his password so he can't change his status*

The thing is that there's no way for her to do that because she isn't the kid's custodian or guardian any more.

Another reason why facebook should only be for college students.

Hope the boy wins and buys a new computer, maybe some new shoes too.

I'm just afraid that this will set up a precedent and every snot nosed spoiled bratty 16 year old will think s/he has the right to sue their parents over something as trivial as this.

That's also what i'm kind of worried about as well. I plan on having a kid or two in the near future and I tell you it's going to be hard to raise them right but without sheltering them as well. That's a very thin line at times.

BREAKING NEWS:

Police were called in to investigate at the home of Denise New when witnesses saw what appeared to be the mafia killing a blue cat that enjoyed hugs.

ORLANDO, Fla. --
A California mother whose children were kidnapped 15 years ago was reunited with them through Facebook.

The woman said her husband, Faustino Utrera, kidnapped her two children and said she would never see them again.

She said she looked everywhere for them, and she ultimately found out through Facebook that they were in Central Florida.

Police said Utrera disappeared from San Bernardino, Calif., with his then 3-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son. The mother said she has not seen them since.

In March, the children's mother searched for her daughter on Facebook and found her page. She added her as a friend, and they messaged back and forth.

San Bernardino Deputy District Attorney Kurt Rowley said the mother immediately contacted his office.

"We did some additional investigation until we located Mr. Utrera and the kids in Florida," he said.

Utrera was arrested and the children were placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. With the father in jail, custody of the two teenagers was given to their mother.

Carrie Hoeppner, of DCF, said that's where things get complicated.

"There is no relationship there," Hoeppner said. "You don't have that immediate joyful reunification. If in fact that is what will progress, it will take time. These children will have to build a relationship, and that is something that will not happen overnight."

The children will soon be on their way back to California.

accidentally ignored a Facebook friend request, (not sure if it was someone on this board, but the person had superhero/sci-fi interests so I'm just taking a shot in the dark and guessing it was, which is why I'm making this post, also so said person doesn't think I deliberately ignored them). If it was you and you're reading this, you're going to have to send that ***** again :woot: sorry, drunk and pressed the wrong button.

also not sure where this fits, so if Mods want to move this post to a more suitable and appropriate location, feel free.
