A transformer box behind my house was struck by lightning and exploded during my 13th birthday party. Scared the living **** out of everyone.

I use to really like the Comic Block from Nerd Block. But they upgraded it so it had more stuff in it. And now it's got less comics.

It used to have like 3 or 4 comics with exclusive covers, a tshirt, and maybe a key ring. Now it has like 2 comics, a tshirt, a little thing, and always a ****ing ugly as all **** POP figure. It just makes the whole thing look cheap.

THe problem with the Collector Corps is every box has a stupid pin and patch on-top of a crappy shirt. What makes it worse is the POP's were weak as hell too, I got a damn Morbius POP in one of the boxes.

I got a NYCC Box O' Crap last year, and it really was a box of crap. The best thing was a Spider-Gwen comic. It had an Orlando Bloom signature, a POP, a lanyard, and some other crap. I didn't like any of it.

Bruh, you're crazy. That is the same price as their premium Loot Crate DX box which has nothing but premium items in it. Loot Crate is the originator of the subscription nerd box and the best. Event heir $20 regular crate is always dope and has been for the past year. Go look up the DX boxes on their site or in the Loot Crate thread over in the superhero products sub-forum and you'll see, that ish is on point.

I'm not talking about the regular crate, Loot Crate DX is their premium service and these boxes are the same price because they all have preimum items. This was the first DX box:

The heavy metal IM2 exclusive figure alone is worth $50. I have him sitting on my desk at work. The regular $20 box can be hit or miss but the shirts are always awesome.

This stuff would have been better for me when I was a teenager with a smaller collection of stuff. Now I have too many collectibles of all types and there isn't space to add anything that isn't so good that it can force me to replace something else. The chances of a random item being good enough (or enough to my taste) is not too high.

Figure - ugly as sin
Hat - meh, have a better Hawkeye one
Shirt - meh, not a MOTU fan
Bag - meh, not a Street Fighter fan
Print - meh
Pin - meh

So yeh, if the best those items gets is "meh", it's a bad box.

I hate POPs. I burn them. They're ugly piles of crap that take up 1/3, ONE ****ING THIRD!!! of every comic book store I go into. I go there for comics, not whatever the **** those things are.

I'm very particular in what I like and don't like, and I'm not 100% tuned into "geek culture" like a lot of people so nerd block or loot crate would be worthless to me. Great, a Mario shirt that I'm not gonna wear. Great, a cheap-ass coaster from a game I don't play. Hey look, there's something Batman related! Ah ****, it's a boring keychain.
