Fans scripts for X4 and X5:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376994/board/nest/48874846 (Please, tell me that it hasn't been posted already)

I never thought I'd see a story or script treatment that could actually make sense after so much was resolved in X3. I came across this fan script for X4, and I said, WOW. Now, it's not perfect, but most fan scripts aren't (I haven't read his script for X5 yet).

Giving credit where credit's due, it's one of the best fan scripts I've ever seen. It's sparks the beginning of a whole new trilogy, with X4 providing a very clever plotline with new characters (Sinister, Gambit, Marrow, and Emma Frost). It also stays close to the tone of the last film and allows everyone to shine in their own way. The best thing about it is its take on the revival of Xavier and the resurrection of Jean and Cyclops.

Like I said, it has a few weak points, but overall, it's a very solid fanscript with some interesting comic-oriented ideas and I just had to post it here or in the Sequels forum.

good actually a few changes needed but good.

It's cool, really cool for somebody who's unexperienced with scripts. It has its flaws like character development... But it's from a fanboy. Loved "master my ass!".

I'm not an IMDB member. Could someone PM me it or post it on these boards?

Um... it's quite long to post... it isn't very difficult to subscribe, you just lie with the postal code if you're afraid of the security

I'd like to read it - but won't. I too am working on an X4 script (The fanboy in me) and want to make it as original and cool as possible.

I read a bit of it (not the whole thing), and I just really don't like the way the cure is temporary.

I thought he was going in a different direction for how the cure wears off, but it ended up just being temporary, and I got turned off.

While he resolves probably every bit left in X3, he seems to always choose the easiest ways. Sometimes the easy explanations work better, but sometimes a little bit of complexity doesnt hurt.
Until the part i read, there was no explanation for the cure fading away, it just happened...

I have a logical explanation for the cure's effectiveness. This is going to take forever for me to write :p

If anyone has any suggestions in terms of characters, etc... let me know ;)

Reading your posts i've seen you seem to have some cientifical knowledge (am i right?), i hope you throw some logic regarding biology, antibodies, etc...i look forward to read yet a good explanation :)

I'm writing an alternate version of X3. It retains the same plot, characters, and many scenes, but a lot of it is changed around and altered in some ways. If anyone is interested in reading it I'll post it on here. Here's an excerpt and sort of an example of what I'm doing with the story:

EXT. ALLEYWAY - DAY

New York City. Jean walks down the street as if she hasnt a care in the
world. She steps on something and looks down to see a pair of ruby
sunglasses on the ground. And just like that she snaps out of it. Her
expression alters and suddenly she is glancing in every direction--she has
no idea where she is or how she got here. But the sunglasses seize her
attention once more and she levitates them into her hand. They are similar
to Scotts--but they are not Scotts. Jeans eyes well with tears.

JEAN
Scott...

A single tear drops onto the lenses. The tears reside however when Jean
spots something in the reflection: three filthy thugs headed her way with
horny sneers on their faces.

SKINNY THUG
Hello Miss

The sunglasses drop to the ground and like that the Phoenix is back. Jean
stares at them with piercing eyes.

EXT. WORTHINGTON PLAZA - DAY

Bobby continues his struggle through the crowds as they chant "We dont need
a cure!" He cranes his neck to try and spot Rogue in the line but obviously
comes up with nothing. Thats when Pyro appears next to him.

PYRO
Getting the cure so you can go back home to Mommy and
Daddy?

Bobby turns.

BOBBY
I'm looking for someone

PYRO
Oh I get it--your girlfriend. Figures shed want the
cure

Bobby glares.

PYRO
Shes pathetic

INT. WORTHINGTON INDUSTRIES - CLINIC - DAY

Rogue is now at the front of the line. She waits just outside the primary
clinic--waiting for her cure. She glances at the other mutants around her.
Most of them are the physical sort. Mutants with deformities and colorful
skin. Mutants with gills and large eyes and scales all over. For a moment we
see a glint of guilt in her eyes until--

ASSISTANT
Next!

Rogue walks up to the front table and proceeds to give her consent with a
signature.

EXT. WORTHINGTON PLAZA - DAY

Bobby and Pyro stare down each other.

BOBBY
What are you doing here?

PYRO
Just taking a walk

BOBBY
I doubt that

His fist ices over. Pyro notices and lets his own hand light up.

EXT. ALLEYWAY - DAY

The thugs circle Jean.

FAT THUG
Now what kinda girl runs around in clothes like that?

BALD THUG
A girl lookin for a big strong man to take care of
her

FAT THUG
Damn stra--

His voice is cut off as all three of them are lifted into the air and their
necks are clenched by Jeans invisible force. They try to scream but cant.
Gripping their necks in agony as each of them are choked.

INT. WORTHINGTON INDUSTRIES - CLINIC - DAY

Rogue is being strapped down to the gurney. Doctor Rao is there with her
orderlies as she goes about making preparations.

RAO
How are you today?

ROGUE
I'm fine

RAO
Good. And your name?

Rogue stutters.

ROGUE
Marie

EXT. WORTHINGTON PLAZA - DAY

PYRO
Come on Iceman...make a move

Bobby hesitates and ultimately backs down with nothing more than a glare.
Pyro shakes his head as Bobby walks away.

PYRO
Same old Bobby. Still doing what youre told!

His attention is diverted when screams emanate from--

EXT. NY STREETS - DAY

Jean unleashes all of her fury. The skinny thug goes soaring into the sky
and hurtling onto a roof. The bald and fat thugs are blown straight back
into the busy street at the end of the alley--a busy street that leads right
up to Worthington Plaza. The thugs crash into a pair of cars and send all
traffic into a frenzy.

One car slams into a fire hydrant that proceeds to gush water everywhere.
Others crash into each other and into lamp posts. With the thugs dispatched
Jean makes her way through the alley and into the chaotic street. Glass
shatters and cars crumple. One of the mannequins inside a clothing
department store is ripped of its elegant burgundy outfit as Jean walks by
and reassembles the clothes to fit her. People gape in both horror and
confusion at the sight. Slowly but surely she approaches the crowded
protests outside--

EXT. WORTHINGTON PLAZA - DAY

The protests disperse as Jean cuts her path of destruction into the huge
lot. People run and scream and commit all sorts of displays of panic. Every
step Jean takes causes her body to become more and more vibrant--like an
eternal sun. A kind of liquid fire begins to take shape around her. Both
Bobby and Pyro are flabbergasted.

BOBBY
Doctor Grey?

INT. WORTHINGTON INDUSTRIES - CLINIC - DAY

One of the orderlies hears the chaos.

ORDERLY
You hear that?

RAO
Just protests. Nothing to worry about

Turns to Rogue.

RAO
Ready?

Rogue nods sheepishly and Rao proceeds to put together the syringe and take
her seat. Rogue is visibly nervous: sweaty forehead and jittery hands the
worst of it. Rao is moments away from applying the needle.

EXT. WORTHINGTON PLAZA - DAY

Police and security arrive on the scene and quickly draw their weapons. Jean
stands there calmly with cops surrounding her and flame enveloping her.

COP
Dont move and put your hands in the air!

Jean puts one foot forward and they all fire a shot--but the bullets dont
even reach their target before she sends waves of fiery telekinetic energy
in every direction. Blowing out every window and crippling every piece of
metal. Its like an aerial ballet of glass and fire and debris.

INT. WORTHINGTON INDUSTRIES - CLINIC - DAY

Just as the needle is mere centimeters away from Rogues arm do the large
pane-glass windows explode from their frames. Letting inside a wealth of
fire and spreading the chaos from outside. Everyone is knocked to the floor.
Rogues gurney tips over and sends her crashing into a table of lab
equipment. The whole room is now on fire along with the rest of the
building. Outside the panic worsens and Bobby joins in as he pushes toward
the front doors and cries out for Rogue.

EXT. WORTHINGTON PLAZA - DAY

BOBBY
Rogue!

His crying is cut short as Jean sends him flying with a flick of her wrist.
Pyro watches her in both awe and fear.

PYRO
What the hell are you?

She answers him by sending a stream of telekinetic energy his way. Pyro
immediately goes on the offensive and fires away with his own brand of
flame. Their beams meet in the middle but Pyros is quickly extinguished and
he is sent flying back as well. He crashes against a car and is left ashen
from the blast. He looks back at Jean in baffled amazement as she releases
another on the cure clinic.

PYRO
A god among insects...

INT. WORTHINGTON INDUSTRIES - CLINIC - DAY

The whole place is a mess and its filled with the sounds of agonizing pain.
Mutants from the line are strewn everywhere. Rogue lays unconscious in the
debris. We see that her gloves have been ripped open when a hand reaches out
and grabs hers. The hand of a fellow mutant.

The man instantly turns stiff. His eyes dilating and the veins on his body
popping up all over. Rogues eyes begin to flutter. The man gasps as pain
courses through him and he collapses. The effect finally wakes Rogue from
her slumber. It takes her a moment to realize what is happening but once she
does she quickly recoils. The pain subsides and the man lays there half-
conscious but still breathing. Rogue sits there shocked and shaken and
feeling a little different. Especially when a blaze of fire erupts around
her and nothing happens. She cries out and shields herself with her coat--
but the fire doesnt put a scratch on her.

Rogue pauses and slowly stands up amidst the smoke. Takes off the flaming
coat and looks at it burning in her hands. Then checks her skin--no burns no
nothing. She glances at the man next to her but her attention is seized when
someone screams from the other side of the room.

RAO
Help! Somebody help me!

Rao is trapped underneath a portion of the wall that caved in. She lies
there bloody but alive--pinned underneath heavy concrete. The dilemma for
Rogue is clear. And we can see it in her eyes. The coat drops to the floor.

RAO
Anybody! Please!

Tears stream down her face. She is shrouded in darkness. The wall of
concrete hovering over her with the stench of death. That is until it begins
to lift up.

^^^ Tony1687, I'm very much interested in reading more! So far what you've posted is very well written and engaging and creative! I too am reworking X3 and have posted a few key scenes and expect to post a whole lot more starting next week. Like you I'm starting off with a salvage operation. Cleaning up X3 but keeping things at least semi-recognizeable, just taking things in a much more... appropriate direction, like you.

Well done, and looking forward to reading more! PM me sometime please. I'd love to compare notes with what you're cooking up!

Thanks for the feedback. Which thread did you post your scenes in? I'd like to read them.

Anyway, here's another excerpt from my script:

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM - DAY

Mystique is cuffed and seated at a table in front of Major Lang who is
rifling through the contents of a manilla folder.

LANG
Welcome back Raven

Stops to look at a stack of stolen files from the FDA. One of the papers
features a photo of Leech.

LANG
Youve been a busy little bee havent you? Captured
twice in one week...you must be losing your touch

Closes the folder.

LANG
Now...what is Magneto planning?

Mystique doesnt answer.

LANG
Raven I asked you a question

MYSTIQUE
I dont answer to my slave name

LANG
Raven Darkholme is your real name isnt it? Or has he
convinced you that you dont have a family anymore?

She glares at him.

MYSTIQUE
My family tried to kill me you pathetic bastard

LANG
Okay then Mystique...what does he want?

With a smirk she morphs into Magneto.

MAGNETO
Why dont you ask him?

LANG
I dont want to play games with you. I want answers

Now she morphs into Lang himself.

LANG
You dont want to play games with me?

Lang gets up and leans over the table.

LANG
You are going to stop this! Tell me what is Magneto
planning?

Mystique leans forward and speaks in her own voice.

MYSTIQUE
You wanna know what hes doing?

She jumps up from the chair and headbutts Lang to send him sprawling
backwards. Quickly kicks the chair at the bodyguard standing in the corner
and knocks him out cold. Then leaps onto the table and simultaneously
maneuvers her cuffed arms in front of her. Another guard enters the room but
Mystique is too fast for him as she brings a roundhouse kick across his
face.

The blue and scaly mutant cartwheels off the table and slings the cuff
chains around Langs neck. Backs up into the wall with a perfect chokehold on
the helpless Major.

MYSTIQUE
Homo sapien!

One of the fallen guards is able to grab his weapon and as he does he snaps
on a mysterious cartridge. Before Mystique can react he fires off a dart
that hits her square in the leg--only she doesnt fall unconscious. Instead
she slowly begins to have minor convulsions. Lang gasps as her grip is
released and she collapses on the floor. Mystique lies there in shock as the
blue scaly skin all over body gradually fades away and transforms into the
skin of a human. Her scarlet head of hair becomes black and her yellow eyes
become a dark brown--eyes that are now filled with unbelievable sadness.

More guards file in to help Lang and surround the now helpless Raven. She
looks up as Trask follows close behind and stops in front of her. Lang and
the guards are all quiet as he stares down at her with contempt.

TRASK
How does it feel?

Anger and sadness are all mixed into one emotional expression on her face.
Trask holds out a palm and the guard hands him his cure-armed gun.

TRASK
See this?

Mystique glares.

TRASK
This is the future

Hands the gun out to her.

TRASK
Take it

MYSTIQUE
What?

TRASK
Show it to your master like the loyal lap dog you
are. Show him the future like I have shown you

MYSTIQUE
Are you trying to provoke him?

TRASK
No

Leans forward.

TRASK
I'm trying to enlighten him

Offers the gun again.

TRASK
Here

She cautiously takes it.

MYSTIQUE
So youre gonna let me go just like that?

TRASK
Youre no longer a danger or of any use to us. My
guards will escort you out

He nods and the guards take her by the arms. She glances back at Trask one
last time before being led out of the room. An obviously frustrated Lang
approaches the General.

LANG
Sir if I may ask what the hell are we doing?! First
we leave Magnetos place alone and now we let her go?

TRASK
Its complicated Major
