I think the Memorex is basically made by Funai if I'm not mistaken. It's basically the same player as the Magnovox that Wal-Mart will have for 125 bucks next friday. Although, with the Memorex, you don't have to wait in line all night. lol.

Flash forward to July when I watch Begins on Bluray on my PS3. That effect is missing.

I have a 42" 1080p LCD and i don't seem to get that "pop" that I've seen before.

Could it be an upped quality of the demo disc? Could that said demo disc been playing at 25fps instead of 24fps? Would turning off the 24fps function on the PS3 help?

Do not get. I dont know how their BR players are but they have a bad reputation when it coms to their blank CDs and DVDs. The company doesnt exactly make things with the best quality.

I got an email from Best Buy that The Dark Knight is available for preorder and it will be $23.99. I was going to get it at Amazon but considering they will be the same price, Im gonna go to BB

Is your HDTV even capable of 24fps? And also maybe that HDTV was calibrated by someone who knows what they are doing. Calibrating your HDTV can make a noticeable difference or at least thats what some people say.

well i was referring to the player putting out a 25fps image rather than a 24 fps.

for example, around june sony put out a firmware update that made bluray playback capable of 24fps.

I recently watched a promo trailer Disney made for BD-Live, and does anyone else not find the majority of its features a big turn off? Like, sending messages and videos during the movie. How about no? I dont want to be messaging people when I'm watching a movie!
