Wow you are missing out especially if you like Disney releases. Their releases with PCM audio sound amazing from my experience.

Well, it really depends, I mean, there is a difference but the difference isn't night and day. Not like with standard definition picture to high definition picture quality. You can still get great sound out of a lossy codec.

Well it depends right but the difference IS night and day in certain areas. For example with The Prestige any scene with Tesla's machine is just powerful and jolting compared to the Dolby Digital it just doesn't compare. And with Invincible any scene where there is a football game you feel like you are actually in the crowd of fans it sounds so unreal. When it comes to dialogue sure the difference isn't night and day but for those certain scenes the lossy audio most of the time cannot create the atmosphere lossless can. Just my personal opinion and experience take it for what its worth.

I don't know about that, there is a difference but to me it's not night and day. I think it will depend on your set-up.

Its all a matter of personal opinion just need to experience it for yourself. Night and day for me.

Yeah, he definitely heard wrong. The only thing that can be said is that it kind of got bogged down in the middle with Season 3 a bit, but then went right back on the road it's going in. This has to be one of the best thought out shows I've seen and I hope I can say that when the show ends as well.
it's still good, but it's like they're just putting anything and everything into the show now. goes from one thing to the next.

never heard of them
are they a newish brand?

I don't know if they're new. But my buddy at Sears was telling me they're a pretty damn good company, especially for their prices. He said a more popular model will look a little better, but he said you can't go wrong with the price. I'm going out later to check it out in person. And if I don't like it, I'm probably going to go with this 40" Samsung that I really liked. Great specs, but a little more money.

I'll have to look it up, but I'm pretty suree that Vizio is the top-seller for LCD TVs now or something. They're a great brand of TVs with great prices. A nice 1-2 punch.

mine's a samsung. i think they're maybe the most visually attractive lcds.

I have a 32" Sharp Aquas, but I'm moving it into my workout room. So I wanted to get a larger set. 37"-40" is what I'm looking for. That Vizio is at a great price and I been reading good things about it. The only negative is that it doesn't look as nice as the more popular model, but that's expected with the price. I'm going to check out the Vizio, if I don't like it I'm just going to go with a Samsung. I found a 40" 1080p for around $900.

that's pretty good... i want a pioneer i think. everyone tells me they're the best.

Pioneer usually makes Plasma's, so take that into consideration.

As far as Vizio is concerned, I don't know about now, but before they usually didn't have a high contrast ratio compared to the big named brands. They have been the "value" option and therefore that is the reason they have been #1 in sales. So, you may want to see on in person and decide then if it is right for you.

my uncle has a 46"(i think?) pioneer 1080p lcd, the picture is incredbile.

According to Pioneer's website, they only offer Plasma's in the US...now if you aren't in the US, then they offer LCD's. So, I'm assuming you aren't in the US. lol.

oh, and i've watched like 20 mins of ep 1 in the heroes season 2 bluray i bought the other day
the qualities really good

good decish dude

Yeah, it's really nice. Probably going to order through amazon though. Cheaper through them. Now I just have to wait for the government to deposit my tax refund and then I can purchase this baby.

Ca you guys help me find reviews for the Samsung LN40B530? I'm having difficulty finding much, probably because I think this is a fairly new model.

Btw, I'm REALLY disappointed of the delay of "Monster's, Inc". :( That's my favorite Pixar film (and I've LOVED every Pixar film so far, aside from "Cars" which was only "good").
