LOL...they should shoot Spidey 4-5 back to back...that way we get a whole bunch of films with the same actors.

You wanna hear a funny story? After Spidey 2 people were talking who would be a good recast for Spider-Man if Tobey dropped out. Know who I said? Topher Grace. Low and behold a few months later we get the Venom casting announcement. I like to think Sam Raimi saw my casting suggestion and picked Topher for the next best thing. :o:cmad:

Yes, Raimi was following every post you wrote to see what casting decisions you were going to suggest. :oldrazz: Kidding aside, Grace would have been an interesting Peter Parker. Not sure if he would be better than Tobey, but interesting nonetheless.

Heads up alert. WBshop.com having a big B2G1. Why is it big you ask? Its Buy 2, Get 1 Free on ANY BLU-RAY INCLUDING PRE-ORDERS. Just use the code WEEKEND in your cart.

Uh-oh. Having my first major Blu-ray playback problem. Hulk is now giving me the message "This video cannot be played. (80029940)" :(

I had a similar/same problem with Punisher Warzone or either Iron Man. After pressing play/enter again it was finally able to read the disc though. I will have had my PS3 for 2 years in November & this was the first major problem that I have encountered. Maybe a cleaning disc might help. Do you have your PS3 sitting flat or upright?

I contacted Amazon about it they already sent me a replacement and gave me 30 days to send the defective disc in. Go Amazon!

I went ahead and did this. I got...

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Extended Cut
Falling Down
Batman: 20th Anniversary
True Romance
Gran Torino
Grumpy Old Men

All for $89.32 shipped so around $14.89 each.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Season 2, and Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series are now availible for pre-order on Blu-Ray at Amazon.com.

Terminator Season 2

I already pre-ordered Terminator, but I may have to hold off on BSG for now, on account that I don't know where I'm going to get $255 from yet... That's a lot of food I won't be able to eat...

99% of the time when something just goes up for pre-order on Amazon.com it drops in price at some point the closer it gets to its release date. Just have to keep your eyes open because it may have an incredible price drop but may only be temporary. Like the X-Men trilogy for example. It is around $55.99 when it first went up and still is. But there was a 24 price drop down to $48.49 which I was able to get because I kept my eyes on it.

I missed the Amazon deal on the X-Men Trilogy but I should still be able to get it for 45 bucks plus tax at Best Buy with the Papa John's coupon. Can't wait to watch them all back to back...although I have said that about 80% of the movies I have and I have yet to do that.

Well if you plan on going seeing Wolverine in theaters then I would say you HAVE to get the trilogy now and watch them. I always do that if I am going to see a prequel/sequel. Before I went to see The Dark Knight I popped in my Begins Blu and enjoyed it again just to refresh myself. I still haven't decided if I am going to head out to see Wolverine. If the trilogy set comes with some movie cash that might sway me to go.

No problem at all. While I really appreciate reviews there is still nothing like seeing it for yourself though. I can't wait till it arrives on Tuesday. :)

Definitely agree. I just like to read what others think of the discs.

and grr, i wish they'd release the office seasons already

i think i'll get x1 & x2 seperately

It's too bad I'm a completest when it comes to these things. Even though the third film isn't great, the action scenes are still good.

So true, some of the story elements were problematic but the action was pretty darn great to me. I actually haven't seen the whole film in one sitting since theaters so I hope to have a nice marathon of all the films. Looking forward to seeing these on Blu.

Just got done watching Slumdog Millionare. Really beautiful film, depressing, but still managed to be beautiful at the end. Video quality was spotty at times but the audio is really stellar. Recommended by me for you all to at least rent it because I know whats good for you. :cmad:

Meh@Slumdog, I'll catch it when it's on TNT or TBS or FX or something. It's one of those movies that I don't feel like watching and the last time I watched something I didn't have any interest in was Seven Pounds and good grief did that movie suck.

Not saying its one of the best films I have ever seen but definitely worth watching at least once.

And as for Seven Pounds I could have told you that sucked and I didn't even see it. It has Will Smith in it...lol.
