At least they made they right move and made the discs look like pizzas.

That cover art seems awesome to me. I will definitely be picking this up, I mean, it's the Turtles! Turtle Power!!!

*is somewhat happy because today is my last final of the semester and I will finally have a week and a half off from school to watch some movies, read some books, and catch up on some nap time*

Don't rub it in...:p But seriously, Congrats man!

Books??? What are those things?

Dude, they are awesome, it's all these great stories and you make mental images from the text, it's almost like a movie but most of the times better! :p

Hopefully they really clean up the transfers. The current DVD transfer sucks.

Well, I want to thank Red for letting everyone know about the contest Project: Blu Forums was having as I won the April contest for Pinocchio. Was told it will ship out on Monday, which is pretty nifty.

YIKES! Apparently, the plans to double dip the Lord of the Rings trilogy has pissed off more than a few people. There's a massive down-voting campaign going on at Amazon that has knocked the LOTR Blu-Ray trilogy down to one and a half stars! :wow:

http://www.amazon.com/Lord-Rings-Pi...TF8&coliid=I2VBZXHABCWQSZ&colid=2V4QKGA7VLY0X

I would like to add in my two cents that it DOES very much suck that New Line is resorting to the pre-planned double dipping tactic, even though there is no technological reasoning behind it. In the age of triple-layered 75 GB Blu-Ray discs, is there really any reason we can't have both the theatrical cut and extended cut on one disc per movie with seamless branching? There IS no reason why not, but New Line knows there's more money to be made by selling us the one bare-bones trilogy now for $60, and then getting us to buy a ridiculous $150 set with 30 hours of bonus features right before The Hobbit comes out, and making it so we need both sets to have the whole experience. What a load of BS. :cmad:

I am not saying its great for the consumer but WB/New Line isn't doing anything new. This has been going on for years with every studio. The only difference is WB is being upfront and honest about the double dip which I give them credit for. And if people were in fact so pissed they would say so with their wallet but despite *****ing and whining they hand their money over which is why studios continue to use this strategy so hey thats just how it is. Either wait, don't buy, or buy both. Those are the options. Its what studios do with every successful franchise they squeeze every cent they can out of it.

And to my knowledge there isn't 75GB Blu-ray's at least not on the market.

My thoughts exactly. At the very least, at least WB is telling everyone beforehand that they will release the theatrical cuts this year and then the extended cuts when The Hobbit is released. It's not like they are being all sneaky and saying only one version will be released. Plus, this is a business and should be expected that WB would do a double dip for one of their biggest franchises. It would be completely idiotic for them not to do that considering they could make a good $50 million dollars by releasing the theatrical cuts first, then another $50+ million when the extended cuts are released. So, whatever stupid campaign anyone wants to do will hold no water whatsoever. It's not going to change the release strategy and is just a waste of time, honestly.

And yeah, this magical 75GB Blu-ray is not going to happen for Blu-ray. The standard is 25 and 50GB and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. And no matter what the extended cuts will most likely span two discs considering the studios think consumers see that as having more value. :hehe:

I had no idea Schwarzenegger played Ghost Rider.

Wow thats the cover for the re-release? Pretty bad. Doesn't look threatening at all it actually looks like the terminator is giggling.

What's with the fire around the skull...lol. Like Sam stated there, it looks like Ghostrider! lol.

The cover is definitely weak, but I don't own T1 (or T2 or T3 for that matter) yet so probably the edition I'll end up with. Covers dont exactly make or break a purchase for me so no big deal

I'll definitely be picking it up, but still, that's a bad cover. lol.
