The Fran Points Program!

Allegedly taping other posters' fran points earning methods.

"Although it remains a Points Program matter, I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff and posters. Following Fran's final decision, I will have further comment."

i know im not in this...but please tell me i get points for being a msu fan...haha

Fran, am I in this since I answered the football question?

I better be. :cmad:

Reservoir Dogs: great script, great actors, and a great soundtrack. It all makes for a movie that I can watch over and over again, and never get bored with it.

Where's my franpoints, frannie? I thought I answered your football question...?

I posted last month's standings. Nothing new for month 2 so far. Except the first challenge.

Okay, only got two weeks remaining in September, so:

What is your favorite movie of all-time, and why?

It's kind of hard to pick a favorite movie from so many. But, If I had too choose one it would be Die Hard. I could watch that movie over and over again and not get bored

Why? It is an edge of your seat thrill ride from beginning to end.

Rocky: Shows that anyone has a shot at being somebody...Great Story...Great Fighting...Great Training Music...
(i almost said scarface or spider-man...but rocky is cooler)

Bella, you were harsh towards the Rams in that post. It hurt me, the word usage. :csad:

But I should get points for honesty. Lots of points. :(

Also I said that the Pats will win. Cheaters always win.

It's tough to say. I figure it comes down to 5 teams (not counting the usual surprise ones)--

Patriots-- Brady's got great weapons now, their offense looks better than ever. D should be solid as always.

Colts-- Last year's champ, offense is still great, D could be even worse than last year though.

Chargers-- Rivers has more experience, though he lacks recievers, (other than Gates) but they have some guy at running back who's pretty good I think. Solid D, biggest question is how do they adjust to the new coaches.

Saints-- Probably the best team in the NFC. Best offense at least. Defense is suspect.

Cowboys-- (no bias here, honest ) Solid passing offense, solid rushing defense, sure up the other halves and their as good as anyone in the NFC. (well, maybe still a little behind the Saints)

Out of these, I think it comes down to the Pats and Saints. Head to head I think the Pats would take it.

So....the Patriots.

+5 fran points. Great analysis on the best teams, you forgot the Bears. Probably the best NFC team to hang with the AFC big boys.

Well, based on the names alone:

Colts take out Cowboys (guns win every time)
Chargers always lose - credit card debt destroys your income
Patriots vs Saints - the Saints will come marching in...

So Saints for the win :oldrazz:

+3 fran points. At least you got the Saints right.

Ok, lets start it off here. Here is my AFC prediction. Divison Winners are New England(1st rnd Bye), San Diego(1st rnd Bye), Cincy, and Indy. Wild Cards are Denver and Pittsburgh.

NFC Div. winners are Dallas, St. Louis (1st rnd Bye), Chicago, and New Orleans (1st rnd Bye). Wild Cards are San Fran. and a bit of a surprise in Detroit.

NFC Playoffs.

Detroit at Chicago. Soldier in January is a really hard place to play for any team. Detroit being the young team and in a hostile environment, loses. Badly.

San Fran. at Dallas. A great game. A throw back to the 90's. The difference is that San Fran. is a very young team and Dallas D ends up being the difference maker.

Dallas at St. Louis. This is a tough one. Both have great offenses. I think it will again come down to home field and Steven Jackson.

Chicago at N.O. Wonderful Defense against a dynamic Offense. A rematch of last years Conference Playoff game. I think the change of venue and a year of developing more chemistry, N.O. offense comes up with the win.

NfC Championship Game

N.O. at St Louis. High scoreing, down to the wire, last team with the ball wins type of game. Possibly OT. In th end St. Louis comes out the victor.

AFC Playoffs.

Pitt at Indy. No contest Indy wins. Lack of offense power kills any chance for Pitt.

Denver at Cincy. Jay Cutler came in to his own this year. And Travis Henry has helped out the offense, but they come into an environment that is dying to have post season success. Palmer has all his weapons with Henry back from suspension earlier in the season and is clicking on all cylinders. Cincy FTW.

Indy at New England. New England has the offensive might to equal Indy this year. So again it will come down to Defense in the end. New England will win in the end.

Cincy at San Diego. MVP winner LT enforces his will on the porous Cincy run Defense. And San Diego's Defense shuts down the Bengals Offense.

San Diego at N.E. The game of the year and to some the real Super Bowl. San Diego is still bitter at their loss last year and come out in full force. They are determined to get redemption. After a hard fought, back and forth game, they recieve it.

Super Bowl.
SanDiego and St. Louis.
This San Diegos time to shine. Defense and Offense have gelled. St Louis, a surprise to some and are the underdogs. In the end San Diego proves too much and win it by a score of 35-24.

What an awesome breakdown. You get 9 points for that one. Would have been 10, but St. Louis won't make it that far. Our best OT is hurt, and Jackson looks too rusty. Great analysis.

Sir, yes sir!

I think I know how I can get extra fran points to this question but I'm not gonna do it. No, frannie, the Rams aren't going to win the Super Bowl. They're not even going to win the NFC West. Why? Because they're not good enough. Besides, I think the Niners will win the NFC West.

Who'll win the Super Bowl? I'd like to see the Seahawks win, of course, but what I want is another thing. I think the Pats will win it. Or maybe Saints. My picks for the Super Bowl will be Pats vs. Saints.

I kinda think the Niners will pull it off, too. Mike Nolan's pimp suits FTW.

+6 points. No winner?

Chiefs vs. the Rams, I-70 Showdown....:cmad:

What!!?! It could happen...no probably not...:csad:

OK my real picks:

AFC East: Patriots (Bye 2)
AFC North: Bengals
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Chargers :csad: (Bye 1)
AFC WC 1: Steelers
AFC WC 2: Broncos :csad:

AFC Championship: Chargers vs. Bengals

AFC Champs: Bengals

NFC East: Cowboys (Bye 2)
NFC North: Lions :wow:
NFC South: Saints (Bye 1)
NFC West: 49'ers
NFC WC 1: Eagles
NFC WC 2: Seahawks

NFC Championship: Saints vs. Cowboys

NFC Champs: Saints

SUPERBOWL: Bengals vs. Saints

SUPERBOWL CHAMPS: SAINTS

Lions?!?!?! +8 points for good breakdown.

Now move on and answer the movies question, for those of you who haven't.
