The Goldbergs

Well AOS left for a few weeks and this show held, it has a fan base.

Finally this was renewed and is moving to weds next year.

Finally started watching it, first episode was amazing... so excited. It's like the perfect mix of Wonder Years, Malcolm In The Middle and John Hughes.

And it keeps on going like that for the entire season.

Well I was born back in 81 and this show brings back a ton of memories for me. I miss my Nintendo and Zelda game watch. :(

Had to bump this thread back up after watching the latest episode. I chuckled so hard when he says "Killing Optimus Prime is like killing Superman!"

That poor kid isn't going to survive the 90's with The Death of Superman comic and the Star Wars Prequels.

I remember being 9 and having that same reaction in the theater.

Love the chick who plays the daughter on The Goldbergs.:hrt:

I was 10 but Prime's death really didn't sink in until watching season 3 episodes and noticing how gloomy they tended to be.

I finally got thru all of S1 and have missed a few eps of S2, but I love this show. I can only imagine being the person on crew who had to go out and buy all the toys from the 80s. The Transformers, Voltron, Robotech, etc, all awesome.

I think this has moved up to one of my top 5 shows currently.

Just another testament that the 1980's was the best decade for boys action figures toys.

It was funny and Barry being Barry you knew it would not go his way.

After watching the show off and on because I seem to be losing interest in it I've come to the conclusion that this show is just mildly funny but not laugh out hysterics funny.

I was born in '76 so I remember the 1980's very vividly from movies/TV to political pop culture scandals and world events but I don't think throwing in a 1980's reference is actually considered comedy or even good writing but just plain lazy.

I've been giving it a shot since the show premiered but now I just occasionally watch it everybso often, the oldest son is so clueless that there's no defining his character role on the show except to come up with stupid ideas and the youngest son is soon getting into his teens that I don't know how long the show can keep its 1980's settings before moving into the 1990's (there's Fresh Off The Boat for that)

So yeah thats my two cents maybe I'll stick with it to chuckle a bit at the out of context 1980's references but in no way would I place this in my Top-10 must see shows.

Been binging this on Hulu and just finished the first two seasons. I think it's pretty hilarious and the cast is solid.

The stuff between Adam and Pops is great, but Barry and Beverly can be a bit too much in certain episodes.

Some of my favorite parts are the actual footages from real Adam's life that they based show scenes on.
