I think this would be a 'fantastic'
plot idea for Fantastic Four 3 or the Silver Surfer spinoff.
Silver Surfer movie: a prequel
Intro with the birth of Galactus in some form. Galactus is sitting on a throne on top of a barren, lifeless planet. He knows the planet's energy can't sustain him for long. Galactus is coming over Zenn-La, Norrin's home world. Terrax, Morg, and Destroyer are beginning to wreak havok over the world, preparing it for Galactus. Norrin and his people manage to kill Destroyer in their efforts but are overcome by Terrax and Morg as Galactus approaches. Norrin desperately pleads to have his world saved and he would enter servitude under Galactus. Galactus agrees, spares his planet, and Sufer joins Terrax and Morg as another herald for Galactus. Have a very sad scene between Norrin and his love as he leaves. Galactus bestowes him power with the board. The movie is pretty much about the heralds traveling together from planet to planet preparing for its destruction. However, Surfer becomes resentful and grows angry. Surfer throws in the towel and returns to his home world to be with his love. Galactus is enraged and sends the other heralds after him. Surfer fights and kills Morg. Galactus reminds him of his agreement and Terrax kills his love, the one he sacrificed his life to save. Terrax and Surfer battle it out and Surfer barely survives. Galactus warns him one last time and the Surfer says he has nothing to live for anymore. Surfer watches the funeral of his love in the sky, he has flashbacks of all the good times he had on his world and decides to serve Galactus to ensure it survives. That is how we get the stoic Surfer, the man with the steely exterior but the heart of a lover. The final scene is the Surfer heading to Earth.
Fantastic Four 3:
The Fanastic Four think everything is great. However, the Surfer hears Galactus' voice, angered over his betrayal, he confines him the planet he betrayed his master to save. He is told he will never surf the universe anymore as he so much use to enjoy. Galactus is weak and is on another planet, perhaps his birth planet. He is sitting on a throne, outside the barren, lifeless planet shows no signs of life. Pissed, he calls his 3 other heralds to defeat the Surfer and the ones of Earth that could stop him. 3 jets of light shoot of of Galactus' planet and towards Earth. Enter Terrax, Morg, and Destroyer. The Four find a weak Surfer and rehabilitate him back to health. We get more of the Surfer's background as he teams up with the four. Doom is pissed and back in Latveria. The 3 heralds enter Earth and create havok. Doom finds them in some cool country and they scuffle for a bit and then he offer them an alliance. If they defeat the Fantastic Four, they will find who they are looking for, the Surfer. Doom begins to build a powerful EMP to disable Reed's technology to allow the heralds to defeat the Four and the Surfer. He tells them were to find the Fantastic Four and that he will meet them there soon. The Four meanwhile do a few side missions and meet the 3 heralds but the Surfer is still weak. The Four manage to kill Destroyer with Reed's technology. Soon, Susan mentions she is pregnat with their son! This will break up the action and set up for Franklin! The other two jet back to Latveria to get Doom. However, Doom's plan is for the heralds to weaken the Fantastic Four and allow him to finish them off. The heralds come to New York. Surfer is still hurt. Doom watches from above as the two heralds and the four fight, the heralds are outnumbered and the FF are winning. Doom sets off his EMP, disabling Reed's technology, the Fanasticar crashed, the lights go out, and a plane begins to fall from the sky. Enter the Surfer to save the day. Surfer and Reed save the plane while Johhny and Ben save other people from the power failure. Surfer fights Terrax and Morg. Enter Doom into the battle. Susan is helping Surfer and is sideswiped by Doom. She fights him but is thrown back. Johnny sees this and tries to help and is too hurt. Doom did what he seeked to do, pick out the Four one by one like he did in the first movie, only more brutal. Surfer is still busy with Terrax and Morg as they lead him above the clouds. The Four regroup and fight Doom and defeat him once again. Surfer defeats the other two as the Four help him out in the Fantasticar...(note they destroyed Doom's machine). The story ends with a obviously pregnant Sue.
