The greatest muppet movie of all time!!!

I'd lose respect for Bale & co. if they refused to do the cameo because of a fear that it may undo what they've done.

That's going a bit overboard isn't it?

You made two great movies but you won't do MUPPETS?! That's it! You're dead to me!

I think a good enough reason would be that it could be ****.

I don't respect people who have no sense of humor about what they do.

I've been thinking about buying the first season of muppets and some of these bits from the script sound good , so i'm excited for this .

I cant say they are a good buy for the price considering how they are editied quite a bit due to rights issues for songs etc so the episodes are not COMPLETE. (if you care about that stuff that is)

That's going a bit overboard isn't it?

Not really...

I don't respect people who have no sense of humor about what they do.

Thats an excellent reason and I feel the same way.

If the script review is legit, I am optimistic. Sounds terrific. The world needs some good Muppet action goin on

I liked the Muppets Slo Mo Scenes and the Muppet Signal. Sounds pretty good. I never saw The Muppets Christmas Carol and one of the early Jim Henson films featured a wedding between Kermit and Ms. Piggy. although I forgot which movie it was. I always enjoyed the little Kermit cameos as a kid on Sesame Street. "Hi-o, this is Kermit The Frog."

Now if they can only make a really good Looney Tunes movie again. There hasn't been a good Looney Tunes movie since Space Jam, which was back in 1996.

The reason Muppet movies suffered is that they became adaptions in the vein of Muppet Babies, instead of more like the original movies. Although MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND and MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL were pretty good. A lot of this sounds very good. Loved the bit about the slo-mo.

Space Jam is absolutely terrible and completely pisses over everything the toons stand for.

You're thinking of Muppets Take Manhatten which is the third Muppet Movie.

Have you see the interview Ricky Gervais does with Elmo? That **** had me on the floor.

here's a little something i made to commemorate the occasion:

ntbone, you made me a very happy woman. :woot: Awesome job!!

Between this and the Fraggle Rock movie, Muppet fans will be happy.

Wasn't there a Kermit appearance in a Sesame Street movie with Big Bird once?

Jason Segal is writing the new Muppet Movie. He was just on Jimmy Fallon's show and they had the two old grouchy Muppet characters from the Balcony.

Thank you for explaining to Dr. Evil why Space Jam is the worst thing to happen to the Loony Tunes.

If there's a sequel to this, what would they call it?

THE NEXT GREATEST MUPPET MOVIE OF ALL TIME?

It sounds like it could be really good. I like the bits with the Muppet Signal and the Slo-Mo.. And I would like to thinkthat Bale would do the cameo, I can just picture Gonzo stood next to him as Robin. Although I think, like was said in the review, they're gonna have to zest up some of the spoofs/cameos they have.. I think it would be pretty cool if they got like Michael Caine and Tim Curry involved in some sort of cameo, maybe helping the Muppets out putting on the show.

Oh.. They have to end the movie with either a pre or end credit scene, involving Statler and Waldorf saying something about the film. I dunno about you guys but surely, that's gotta be an obvious thing to do..

Oh and I know it's a bit un-related but seen as though it's been mentioned, I had an idea for a new Looney Toons film which has an old black and white cartoon character, who is bitter about the transition and popularity of colour, kidnapping Bugs and gathering other black and white characters to start invading the cartoons. When an animator (I see Zach Braff) stumbles upon this plot to take over, he rallies Daffy, Foghorn, Wyle E, Sylvestor and Porky to go save Bugs.

No it would have a different title like all Muppet movies.

Simple yet

It's like for GB3, all they need is a black background, the ghost logo and the tag line 'Who Ya Gonna Call?'.. So simple yet (IMO) something like that would do so much to hype people up, more so than a big fancy poster..

i love the idea of a christian bale cameo

and i still get a kick out of the manah-manah song

what was wrong with space jam?

that was my childhood right there

the only problem with Space Jam is that it's not a timeless classic like Rodger Rabbit or whatever. It was good for what it was.

I just watched FSM again today and the puppet stuff in that is so cool and when he's drunk singing on the piano he starts singing about getting things started on the muppet show tonight.
