I do agree that they tend to pull the trigger a bit too fast on giving certain things their own forums

It looks like GH fans lucked out in the end. HAvent seen the film yet, but it seems much more faithful than the other almost adaptations
So this has actually been a long-time coming for Gondry, huh? Although I'm thankful some of those original ideas didn't see their way into the film.
And while most people were gung ho when Stephen Chow was involved, implanting a chip in Britt's brain to control him would have been equally stupid as Nicholas Cage wanting to do his role with a Jamaican accent.
I didn't think I'd want to see this movie. Then the reviews sounded ok, so I was leaning toward it. But then I saw a tv spot where they are singing along to Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" and that just killed any interest I had in it.
http://**************.com/fansites/GulfCoastAvengers/news/?a=27874"It's something that Evan would constantly have to remind me of throughout the process, in that this is kind of exactly what we thought would happen. From the second we thought of doing a movie like this, I remember talking about it like, 'Everyone's going to think it's going to be insane and terrible and we'll just have to keep our heads down and make it, and then it'll come out and then people will slowly see that we weren't nuts and that it was actually a good idea.' "
"As you get wrapped up in it, as there's two years of time where people are saying how bad it is, without having seen anything, it does get frustrating and, ultimately, just disappointing, more than anything. You look at these outlets that, as a comic book nerd, I kind of respected at times and thought were interesting voices just say things that are insane and completely uninformed and uneducated and based on no reality whatsoever, and it's kind of like, 'Oh, that's disappointing. I thought these guys were cool.' But they're not. They're just like everybody else."
"It is nice that people actually have to base their assumptions on the movie now and not just what they think the movie is going to be like."
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced The Green Hornet starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Tom Wilkinson, Christoph Waltz and Cameron Diaz will drive onto Blu-ray (with DVD), Blu-ray 3D (with Blu-ray 2D and DVD) and DVD on May 3.
The Blu-ray 3D version will not only include the film in Blu-ray but also 3D animated storyboard comparisons. This is a rare occasion in the infancy of Blu-ray 3D when a bonus feature that isn't an animated short film is being provided in 3D.
The 2D and 3D version of The Green Hornet on Blu-ray will be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Sony has packed both versions with extensive extras as outlined below.
