I always thought of the Guardians as being the same person over and over, with slight differences. Like they have the same face (or similar faces), same voice, sort of like they are one being, connected.

yea i wouldnt mind that myself. I would do what burton did in charlie and the cholate factory film. They hired one guy who is a midget who i dont recall what his name is, then shrinked him with cgi effects, and doubled him movie and over and each had a slightly different voice.

it might be, but I can't see how 'Little Person' is any better. In fact, I think little person is more offensive.

yea i know the term midget to some is a negative term, i just didnt know what word i wanted to go with. If any one wants to alter midget for a different term i am fine with that.

the PC term is 'little person' but I've got my take on that particular term right above.

You can say Dwarf. It brings Tolkien's noble mountain dwelling warriors to mind.
That is never a bad thing.

Just to clarify, and I hope I don't offend anyone but..

A midget is like a Gary Coleman, when everything is proportional, whereas a dwarf is usaually a person with a normal sized head with smaller body (ala Peter Dinklage)

Dont you think it would look kinda silly having a bunch of blue midgets on film? I would rather they be full size men then have to deal with them looking like live-action smurfs

If we're at the start of GL's career we don't even really need a good look at the guardians.

The Guardian Chamber would have the big pillar of light in the center where whoever is being addressed stands, and in the shadows around the room you see the shapes of the guardians with shadows covering most of them aside from glowing eyes and the green emblem on their chests.

we i do i believe to see a good amount of space stuff/oa so i am sure the guardians have a nice part in the film.

All I can say is that if they cast Vern Troyer, I think I'll have to skip this movie. Thank God he wasn't in Dr. Parnassus long enough to completely ruin in.

CGI/Actor mix ala Gollum using the same actor for all of them.

They're all basically Yoda, so while they're sitting, I guess they can bust out puppetry, but if they start getting up and moving around, then CG.

I think they should cast some actors and give them small bodies and blue skin through CGI.
