The Hangover Part III

- Doug getting kidnapped again. But it can be forgiven really as Justin Bartha has zero chemistry with Bradley, Ed, Zach, and Ken.

At this point it would be weird to have Doug along for the ride. Also he wouldn't of gotten much screen time.

Man I did not like this film, I was bored by it. :csad:

This film looks so terrible as was the second film, I'm glad Fast6 is beating it at the box office.

You never thought you'd see the day when internet nerds would actually be in support of a movie series like that, did you?

As much as I liked the first movie I passed on seeing the second and didn't give this one a thought. Glad I kept my money. I know the second one was a success and it's all about the money, but the concept wasn't worth a sequel. No way could they come up with a better idea than the first.

I laughed, I was entertained. It's a ncie end to a good trilogy.

Hangover
Hangover 3
Hangover 2

All 3 are entertaining, but first is the best. This one changed it up quite nicely.

I agree on all accounts. I had a good time.

Damn. I think I'm the only person in the world who actually liked Part II.

LOVED PART 2...loved it more than the 1st one:woot:

Hangover 3 was funny, I was laughing thru most of the film..people
just wanna hate

Same here, I was tempted to walk out a couple of times. It just didn't have any real funny parts at all, there were a few chuckle moments but no real laugh moments.
I also didn't care for John Goodman in this at all he was just outta place. The story itself was kind of the same, but instead of Doug missing he gets kidnapped. Now the 'wolf pack' were trying to save him with Chow; in which he was f'ing annoying imo. There was just no flow to the movie and everything was basically cut n dry...
Only thing was Stu/Phil/Allen had on screen chemistry which was the only bright spot in the movie. The after-wedding scene was kind of funny I'll give it that....
Maybe I'll enjoy it more watching it on dvd at home when it comes out?

I haven't seen the movie yet, but everybody seem to agree that it doesn't feel like a comedy. But does that change the fact that it could be a good movie?. Slightly more thriller-oriented, for sure, but is it still entertaining?

I don't get why people are calling it an action movie. It's a comedy. Whether they think it's funny or not is a different story.

"Can you take Stu instead?!"

"F**k you, Alan."

One of my favorite lines. This movie did have some good exchanges between the main 3.

The plot and hijinks in the film are action driven. I actually thought it had plenty of decent laughs, but I genuinely consider it an action film.

I saw this today. It was pretty good. Much better than the 2nd one but nowhere near the 1st. At no point did I feel I was watching a straight comedy, which I was OK with. I really dig Galifinakis' humor so everything he said and did amused me. The plot felt a little more empty than I thought it would (that's not say I went in to this expecting much plot), but the way everything played out just felt kind of restrained at times. I was hoping for more, but was still OK with what I saw. Chow is still the most annoying character in all of characterdom.

:csad::csad:I feel like I should apologize to everyone that got excited for this movie with my early screening news....i liked it:csad::csad:

I know some fans and critics hated this but I thought it was decent at least a 7/10. For me it's

Hangover 1

Hangover 3

Hangover 2

This movie actually seemed like they out effort and thought into it. But hey the mainstream audience seems to like it too. Critics just hate it.

Yeah you made it sound like the comedy was there like the first one but that wasn't the case.

There's really no point in ranking the three movies. The first will always be the best. And third will only get ranked second bc the first sequel was so bad.

So this sucked too? I knew they should have just stopped with the first one. I can watch the first Hangover, over and over again. Watched Hangover 2 one time and had enough. Guess I won't bother watching Hangover 3.

I saw it last night. I was a pretty big fan of the original. I defended the second one. This one was terrible, however. There are not enough laughs to be a comedy but there is not enough suspense to be a thriller/drama. It is so confused tonally.

Focusing on Alan was a HUGE mistake (as I predicted it would be), made worse by giving Chow such an increased role. Unlike most, I like Ken Jeong a lot, but there is really nothing funny about him flying through Vegas on a parachute ranting about how much he likes cocaine and singing I believe I can fly. Both of these characters are hilarious in limited doses, Todd Philips does not seem to understand that.

But perhaps the biggest problem is that the movie just sucked out everything that made the franchise fun. This was just dull and void of fun. 3/10. :-/

And was Allen always gay for Phil? In the other 2 films, it seems like he just likes Phil the most, wants to be his best friend, etc. In this one, Allen had a bunch of outwardly gay moments towards Phil. Pretty dumb.

Allen was great in the first Hangover because he was like the lovable idiot. But here, he is literally ******ed to the point that it's not even funny. Not really funny watching a mentally ill person lose his mind even further.

Yeah, I have to agree that Part III is not that good. I don't mind they didn't do the formula again (which I thought it worked both times, and there was no need to completely ditch it), but the worst problem is that this isn't fun. It's sometimes kinda depressing. I don't mind the thriller elements (they were there in the first two) but this time it took over the comedic elements, and that was a huge mistake.

****, they focus even more on Alan in Hangover 3? Alright, not only do I not want to watch it, but I'll actively avoid it at all costs. Like Shape said, Alan was great in the first Hangover, because he was more like a lovable idiot. I really enjoyed the entire cast. Then Hangover 2 came around and that was the start of Alan getting more focus and turning into an ass. He was one of the main reasons, I didn't enjoy Part 2.

No need to apologize dude, several people liked it too.

Yeah, Alan has entirely ceased to be likable. He is just awful.
