The Hangover

How did they get away with showing some of those last pics in the movie without getting a NC-17. lol

You couldn't pay me to watch Bruno. Just like Borat and Bruno looks way worse. TH owns all comedies this year until Extract comes out in September.

^I've never cared for Jack Black and that skinny guy with him is just all sorts of meh.

I like Michael Cera. Jack Black, on the other hand, has never been funny at anything he's done. Ever.

Hey Apatow Crew, whats your avvy from? Looks like Bumblebee with the head of the goofy gremlin with the lazy eyes in "Gremlins 2" lol

Exactly. And as great as Tropic Thunder was, he was the weak link of the movie, although I did think he had some funny moments and his role was okay at best. Really though, the movie was an excuse to have Robert Downey Jr. (fresh of the success off Iron Man) to dress as a black man in black face and for Tom Cruise to have giant hands and dancing to Ludacris.

Not that there was anything wrong with those two performances.

I thought Tropic Thunder was the first time since the Jackal that I actually enjoyed a movie that had Jack Black in it. Michael Cera, however is as annoying as can be. You're right in that RDJ was the guy who sold TT.

I think Jack Black is ok . He had alot of funny moments in tropic thunder but hasn't really done much for me outside that.

Michael Cera looks like he has some funny moments in the trailer and it works for this but he basically does the same thing every movie.

Well, since it has yet to be released, I'll have to agree with it being the best comedy of 2009. That or I Love You, Man. Tough call. :csad:
The Hangover >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I Love You, Man (and I liked "I Love You, Man")

Box Office Mojo has the weekend at 33.4 mil.

Damn. Not bad at all.

Finally saw it today and it was epically awesome all the way through.

No doubt about it, funniest movie of the year... probably the past two years, even. I was nearly pissing myself with laughter at the end credits.... probably could've done without seeing Zach Galifilanakis getting a BJ from an old lady though. :csad:

wow!
unbelievable second weekend!

what do people reckon this is going to end up with at the end of its run?

its looking like a huge total!

I reckon it might even come close to the highest ever R rated comedy which is Beverly Hills Cop from 1984.

Beverly Hills Cop did over $200 million domestic way back in 84, and is still the highest grossing R rated comedy ever.

This one is gonna push it mightly close I reckon!

Lol Noone thinks Funny People is gonna be a funny a movie?

I do agree with The Hangover being the best comedy this year but I still haven't seen I Love You Man yet...not sure if it can top The Hangover.

I saw it second time again today, this movie gets funnier every I see it.

I have a feeling Funny People will be one of those films where it's hysterically funny in the first half and then downright depressing in the second half. Kind of like Click you know. :csad:

Funny People is a dramedy. It has funny moments, but from what I have heard, there is a lot of drama in it too. Also, come January hell may be freezing over as

There is probably going to be Oscar buzz surrounding this movie once it comes out. One Oscar website predicts Sandler for Best Actor, Judd Apatow for Best Orginal Screenplay and Leslie Mann as a possible darkhorse for Best Actress.
