That new Nas track is great, he's been on fire lately. I hope his album holds it's July release date. I've waited too long for a new Nas album already.

Yeah, Eminem is still better than most of the stuff that's out today. But all his guest appearances have sucked to me and the songs would've been better without him on it. All he's been rapping about is fast food and Target and Payless. He's saying nothing. Yeah, his wordplay is crazy, but its annoying.

Exactly. I don't care if he strings his words together nicely if he's saying nothing, especially now that he's saying the same nothing over and over. His flow on tracks like Yelawolf's Throw It Up is awful as well. Stopping and starting, and annoying yelling.

B.o.B album leaked, I gave a day to listen to it fully. I love how he handled most of the production on this. Some stand out tracks is the album opener with Lucious Fox himself, Mr. Freeman as a narrator. Also Castles reminds me of a more upbeat version of his Airplanes single which is also another standout song. Play for Keeps reminds of Eminem's Till I Collapse.

i'm a B.o.B fan so i'll be looking for this

also, while searching for another video i found an old song i used to love on youtube tonight. anyone remember smilez & southstar? haha

Did anyone see that moron Nicki Minja on the Graeme Norton show last week?
holy crap, what was she like? Graeme Norton is a late night talk show with notoroiously risque jokes peppered throughout right? So, Mark Ruffalo was on, and was being quite affable, telling an amusing anecdote about a play he was doing, and how a stagehand had left a joint of marajuana on set as a prop, resulting in him and a fellow actress getting real stoned on stage, everyone in the audeince laughing, GN and the other guest, John Bishop, laughing too, and all the while Nicki Minja is looking at Ruffalo like he is satan himself, haha, just because he is talking about smoking a joint.
So, she interrupts the amusing anecdote, and puts a total downer on the whole conversation, by injecting it with a 'Just Say No' speech to da kids, about how they should never take drugs.
she knows what type of show she is going on right? must do, or else she is stupid not to check it out beforehand.

Just because you lack the guts and intellect to try or appreciate a drug that is far safer than those allowed by the government, don't think you'll get anywhere by trying to piss over other people's parades, because you're just making yourself look like the ignorant fool.

That new Slaughterhouse song, My Life, sounds like Lighters, Part II.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that new B.o.B too.

I went back and listened to Asher Roth's album and some of his mixtapes. Dude is cool on the mic. Can't wait for his new album.

Yeah Asher Roth goes in hard sometimes. His verse in "I'm Beamin (Remix)" is some crazy introspective stuff.
My aura takes the form of the aurora borealis
Or a floral pattern, more or less a forest to your salad
The neural path I’ve traveled has immediate reaction
Can’t you see that I am beaming? I’ll be leaving in a second
Sipping magic from a chalice, detached from the distractions
At last, I can relax, looking past all of the action
A fraction or a fragment of me actually is present
The rest of me is heavenly, the seventh house’s zenith
Yes, the fence intimidates, it’s meant to keep you out (But)
Let your senses resonate and leap it in a bound (‘Cause)
Freedom isn’t found inside a visa or a crown
And even the voice of reason couldn’t speak it out loud (But)
Mortals are immortal when their soul has been imported
To a source that is more sovereign, important to the whole (Whole)
This is the warmest moment of a poet turned heroic
As he slowly comes to focus, go ahead and watch me glow
Seriously this verse is awesome. :funny:

I understand that they are sacrificing a lot because they need that mainstream buzz, but I am not really digging that one.

Based on Pabst & Jazz, his new album will probably be better than his first album (which I liked even though a few of the songs have really dumb lyrics).

Interview with Kanas rapper XV talking about his influences, liking geek stuff like Star Wars and Comics in the Rap game and Just Blaze.

Control System. Dropping Friday. Check it.

I dont like any of these new female rappers. Precious Paris (backed by 50), Azealia Banks, and Iggy Azalea (backed by TI) all suck.

Out of those I like Azealia Banks.Never heard of Precious Paris, and Iggy is meh.

I like Iggy....for other reasons. I don't really mind female emcees, but it's not like I'm going to be checking for them either. But it seems now that every label has to have one female rapper. The trend will fall off sooner or later, like it has before.

Anyone hear the new Killer Mike album RAP Music? Or El-P's Cancer For Cure? Both are extremely good.

Azealia Banks actually has a sick song called Jumanji tho. And by sick I mean the beat is nice :ninja:

I dont know if y'all like talking about Old School stuff much but what do y'all think of this Biggie Smalls Interview from back in the day: http://tinyurl.com/d7stwer

and would an interview of this kind even by tolerated in this point in the game?

That kind of interview would be seen as "hating" I think

You're probably right..They'd probably get painted as "jealous" or "********" because it's "politically incorrect" now. Which is said because there is no problem with rappers speaking their minds of whether or not another rapper is good. imo

Plus that interview had me laughing all the way through.
