And what exactly have you seen? You're probably around 16 years old. And that's not an insult. I can tell by your "opinions" on things. Michael Vick murdered dogs for a disgusting and sadistic sport. Anyone that defends it is likely a teenager trying to be cool.

On the contrary, we watch humans beat each other up on TV. Who, in a lot of cases, end up with health issues down the road, died, or been held up in a hospital for weeks to months. A lot of those dogs were brought up JUST to fight. Their sole purpose to fight each other. While, I think it's wrong and I'd personally never do it, I don't see it as a pressing issue.

Sigh. I am 16. I am young. I also think your opinion is ridiculous.I live in the murder capitol of The United States. I hear people dieing every day on the news. A 1 year old was shot in the head and died a few months back. Thats just the tip of the ice berg in New Orleans. Thats many more messed of things about this city. I stayed during during Katrina. I don't wanna go into that but I saw many dead bodies and other stuff that you can even imagine. So excuse if I dont give a **** about a dog. When I hear and see humans dieing every day. Michael Vick didn't spend time in jail for his skin color, or because he was an NFL star. It was because he commited a crime that warranted it. My point was that I think that Vick got punished far too harsh. Also Anybody who defends Vick is a teenager? Dude stop. But I also know that your about to say that is where I was told and I just listened to them and went with what they say. But here is the difference between me and a dog. I don't have a owner or a person who tells me what to think. I spent much time on the internet researching the issue. I came to my conclusion for the simple fact that it bother me. I'v seen the dogs Vick hurt and I felt sad but not at the point where I felt a man should lose his career, his wealth, and two years of his life over it. It was sad but in the back of my mind was the simple fact that it was a dog. I see people say what Vick did was barbaric and inhuman. But really was it? I don't even think it's sadistic. Vick was raised in that culture. That was all he knew. He thought that was ok and in his culture it was. You can say the culture is wrong but that got passed along for generations. Many people think thats ok. I don't think that should happen and you should be punished for it. But to me, I wouldn't send people to jail for it. I'd send them to therapy. Where they can get help to unroot their culture. You would have Vick better than any prison would have help him. Yeah maybe he doesn't fight does anymore. But he probably doesn't think it he should have loss so much over dogs. This would have helped him realize his problem and help him grow as a man. That would have been a much better punishment than what Vick got. Now this "child" has just given you a counter argument.

He chose to get himself involved in illegal dog fighting. He knew what he was getting into and the risks that he was taking. He didn't need the money because as you even acknowledge, he was a wealthy NFL star.

He put himself in jail. If you don't feel that he did, then who's fault was it?

Yes. Drowning a dog with your bare hands is sadistic and it's certainly barbaric. Same with electrocuting them.

And the simple fact as you like to put it; Is that dogs have feelings too. It's not about comparing them to humans. No one is trying to value a dogs life more than a humans.

Michael Vick had been pampered all of his life. And he had extra protection in prison due to his high profile. And I'd be willing to bet some extra perks. So boo hoo if he has to go from his mansion to a cell. It was his own doing.
