Foreman really pwns.

I'm thinking about picking this up. I don't really know much about Iron Fist, other than a few H4H issues and Wikipedia...do I need to, before going into the series? Oh, and that art is awesome.

Nope. This a nice, fresh, pick up point.

No, you don't need to read anything before picking this up. #1 of Immortal Iron Fist gives a reintroduction of how Danny got the Iron Fist power, and the story gives us a look see into the past of past Iron Fists who held the Iron Fist mantle. The Iron Fist power is a legacy and that's what is displayed in this series, what it means to be an Iron Fist. Bruabker and Fraction are doing a great job with the book so far. The book has great writing, great art, action, and great storytelling. And yes, the art is awesome.

So you know, #3 of Immortal Iron Fist comes out next week.

Like I said in the other thread, this shot is gold. Man, Aja's art is awesome.

BTW, who else thought Iron Fist's first appearance a as New Avenger on New Avengers #27 was awesome? I loved how he used his Iron Fist power at the end of the issue and it caused a mini earthquake. That was kickass!

Iron Fist is for sure a good addition to the New Avengers. Now I want to see them on Immortal Iron Fist.

I thought Iron Fist in New Avengers was awesome. He does fit in with the team and his lines with both Cage and Spidey were great. The end of the issue with Iron Fist doing the earthqauke was a great shot.

I agree I want to see the New Avengers on his book.

Agreed. Iron Fist on the New Avengers was great. He's a great additon to the team, and it just goes to show what he can do with the Iron Fist power. I can't wait for the next issue of New Avengers, and Danny at Rand Corp.

Seriously, what the hell did Iron Fist jump off of in that page? The ****ing moon?

Danny is at Rand Corp. and is suiting up in the Iron Fist suit. Then he jumps out of the window. That's what he's jumping out of. It's a very awesome page. :ninja:

The Rand Corp building must be the tallest building ever constructed, then. It's a cool image, it just doesn't seem like it'd make sense.

What would make it a thousand times more awesome, of course, is if they'd put Danny in the bare-chested IF suit with the giant collar. Now that would've been some hawtness.

I didn't notice this before. Nice sig there Corp. It's like everybody just went out and picked up that movie lately, though.

I should change mine to the inconsistent size of the enemy in that movie.

Yes, the Rand Corp. building is in fact big.

The suit Danny's wearing in the #3 preview is just for that issue. And maybe he'll have it for #4. After, he'll go back to his original suit.

Inconsistent, but badass nonetheless. And I've been totally gay for the original TF movie since I first saw it as a kid. Sometimes, if I listen hard enough, I can hear "Dare" playing constantly in the back of my mind.

He's worn it before, in the old Heroes for Hire series that came out after the Onslaught event. It always struck me as dumb that he'd have a costume with the same symbol printed on it that he's already got tattooed on his chest when he could just wear his normal costume--he gets to bare his manly chest, and he gets to sport that badass collar. Win/win.

Yeah I see what you mean. That suit was cool. But as for Danny having the dragon symbol on his suit, even though he has it burned to his chest, he's had it on other suits he's worn in the past. Like this suit: (Credit to Red X for posting it.)

I liked it so much, that when I saw Team America, I somehow blended the Transformers theme with TA's theme song.

Ah. This girl may be French, but some American things just singe her soul with happiness. Or whatever it is that she may have, because it's doubtful she has a soul. :o

Here's the solicit for Immortal Iron Fist #6.

IRONFIST_006.jpg
IMMORTAL IRON FIST #6
Written by ED BRUBAKER AND MATT FRACTION
Penciled by DAVID AJA and TRAVEL FOREMAN
Cover by DAVID AJA
Orson Randall, the only man who holds all the answers to Danny Rand's questions about the legacy of the Iron Fist, is being hunted by the reincarnated reinvigorated, and always wicked Steel Serpent. Hydra, manipulated by an ancient evil they're only beginning to understand, is in the process of dismantling the Rand corporate empire. Both events have been facilitated by a betrayal from within, and both events might spell the end of the mystical city of K'un L'un once and for all.
This is the final chapter of "The Last Iron Fist Story." Surely nothing terrible or tragic will happen, right?
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99

Danny has a new suit. The one seen in #3. What do you all think? I'm guessing this is the one he'll be wearing from now on. I think it's great.

I think it supports my whole Iron "the Prison" Fist thing.

What are you talking about? The suit looks fine. And like I said, the suit he's wearing is also seen in #3. It's a great new look for him.

it's not exactly "new" in the sense that it's a completely different costume, but it's a cool variation.

Yeah, and even if it's his new suit, i'm all for it. It's very up to date and has a cool look to it.

Yeah, those ninja boots that Iron Fist now has are great.

Yeah and just for everyone's knowledge, this "new" costume first showed up in Daredevil #59 and 60 about 2 or 3 years back.

I've always liked it and wondered where it went since then. I like that he finally updated his look. The old one was very 70s. Worked well with Luke Cage's look. Those guys were 70s comic book icons...Just not in today's age.
