Is it possible for you to end posts without smilies?

Also I got issue 5 early, so if you give me a sec I can post some spoilers.

Pretty good issue, a few things bugged me however but more on those later.

Orson and Danny escape HYDRA with Orson managing to acquire a book detailing the history of the Iron Fist. then warns Danny about a tournament where he will have to face other Immortal weapons (which we know is the second arc).

Steel Serpent is meanwhile assembling an army to destroy the two Iron Fists. It's also hinted that Steel Serpent is working under someone else’s command.

Over at RandCorp tower Danny's Jarvis wannabe lawyer Mr. Hogarth is at breaking point after HYRDA kidnapped his mother and threatened to kill her unless he sell RandCorp to them. Desperate to get her back he calls in Luke Cage, Misty Knight and another female who I didn't recognize but I'm sure is a past member of H4H. The issues end with a fun sequence in an elevator between the two Iron Fists before the doors open to reveal Steel Serpent's legion.

As I said a few things irked me such as Danny shrugging off the fact they just murder a bunch of HYDRA goons. Sure, HYDRA was out to kill them and it wasn't directly Danny who did kill them but it still bugs me somewhat. Also some of the dialogue gets a tad confusing during Orson’s talk about the Iron Fist legacy.

On the upside both artists continue to impress, especially Foreman who sadly only gets a triply flashback sequence at the beginning.

Sounds good Red.

I wonder why Danny's been left in the dark about the kidnapping of Hogarth's mom.

as per i'd say hydra's orders danny wasn't told of the hogarth connection:ninja:

I agree. Or maybe Danny's just not in the loop since he's been kicking HYDRA ass for a while.

#5 was a solid issue.

Danny and Orson are fighting against the HYDRA soldiers and Orson goes of to find a book in one of the trains. That book was made by the scales of Shou-Lao the Undying, and the book contains all the kung-fu secrets of all the previous Iron Fists. He gives the book to Danny and Orson tells Danny that he needs to learn all the moves to prepare for what's next. My guess it's to prepare for the martial arts tournament.

Orson reveals that the reason why the Crane Mother is after his is because he declined to participate in the martial arts tournament to defend K'un-Lun. Therefore, the Seven Cities sent the other six champions after him and Orson killed one of the Champions and escaped.

Steel Serpent prepares his army of assassins to take down Danny and Orson and once ready, heads to Rand Corp. Jeryn, who made a deal with Xao to sell tech to China in order to save his mother, called in none other than Luke Cage, Misty Knight and Collen Wing to help him out! That was a really cool scene.

With Danny and Orson coming back to Rand Corp., Danny states that he owns half the buildings in Manhattan, and therefore makes it alot easier for him to get around town from rooftop to rooftop as Iron Fist. Danny and Orson take the elevator up to Rand Corp, and when the doors open, Steel Serpent and his army are right there waiting to engage and fight Danny and Orson. It was one hell of a scene.

Overall this issue was another great read. The ending to this arc is sure to be fantastic, and I can't wait for #6. The art is once again amazing, and Brubaker and Fraction continue to do a great job on this book. And also, the action was so awesome!!

9/10

Nice review man, but what confused you about what Orson said?

Another great issue. What this series has really stunnned me by how great it is. I never expected to see Luke Cage and the girls from the Heroes for Hire show up, that was great. What more can I say? The immortal weapons sounds really interesting, and I can't wait for that martial arts tournament. That book Orson gave to Danny should have alot of use to him. Should be cool to see what he'll do with it.

Looking forward to the final battle next issue.

Yeah, I can't wait to see what new moves Danny will do with this Iron Fist from that book. As well as learn new kung fu.

Nice! The first one is really awesome.

I've got dibs! well... second dibs after darth of course... assuming he even allows me to use it.

You don't need my permission. My rule of thumb is, if you posted it on the internet, its up for grabs.

Ok, finally picked up this issue today (along with several other series where I've been slacking recently). Great issue...nice to see Luke Cage. For someone who's never read an IF comic before this series, it's not that hard to pick up on the history of the IF.

Yeah I know man, I was just saying it looks awesome.

Yeah, picking up on the mythos behind the Iron Fist power is easy to follow. I reread the ESSENTIAL Iron Fist book and there's alot of stuff there that has to do with what's going on in this series too. It's great.

I really liked #5, although it was a tad confusing at first for me, with the whole 7 immortal weapons thing and Orson killing one of them, but it all made sense on the second read-through, thankfully.

Yep, solid issue.

bah, it was too big anyway. I couldnt use it.

Yeah I can't use it either yet, but I did get it resized to 50 x 50. :woot:

I think the "Immortal Weapons" have huge potential for the next arc. I can't wait to see Danny face them in the martial arts tournament.

Newsarama posted an indepth review of the series as a whole, including some...Travel Foreman bashing? What?

http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=112555

Newsarama used to be a bastion of quality comic book news reporting, but now especially their little out sourced "best shots review" team is filled with pretentious *******s who are only happy if you write something they think is all deep and intellectual. And the posters on that site as well, just look at the comments, can't get into it because of Aja's art? What the **** are you smoking?

And I'll kill anyone who talks bad about Travel Foreman. It just seems to me that these are the type of cats that will hate on something because its so well regarded.

That's my rant.:csad:

In this case your *****ing is well deserved, and I agree with you 100%.
