But insane people know they're insane. That's the difference. I haven't doubted myself.
Superconfidence is a form of insanity.

So weird things are happening that are really odd. I'm not trying to say it's the apocalypse or something, but I just want to know if anyone else notices the odd sting of events that is beginning to unfold?
-Large Hadron Collider was built between 1983 to 1988, to house the Large Electron-Positron Collider. However, the first beams completed circulation on September 10th, 2008.
-Many sports fans may not care, but the Phillies won the 2008 World Series. They haven't won since 1980 against Kansas City. I'm from Philly, and anyone from here knows that them actually winning is like a dream. It doesn't happen.
- After years of racism, bigotry and segregation a black man was elected President of the United States of America on November 4th, but will be officially taking office January 20th, 2009. Presidents serve for 4 years so his term will be over in 2013. People have predicted that the world as we know it will end in 2012.
-In 2012, 433 Eros is supposed to pass by Earth. I don't have to tell you how important that is. Just type it into google. (Ironically, Nostradamus predicted this asteroid and claims that we will suffer many damages because of it )
-This summer, on a personal level, I was involved in a horrible car crash that will have lasting effects on my mental stability and my life from now on.
-On March 19th, 2008, an exploding star was seen halfway across the visible universe.

"Crazy people don't know they're going crazy. They think they're getting saner." John Locke.
I partially severed my achilles tendon in a total freak accident that I wouldn't be able to replicate if I tried, that doesn't mean the world's coming to an end. You are not the center of the universe, you should really try to keep your ego in check..

The only way I see the world ending is if enough idiots believe all this nonsense and enter into a state of mass hysteria which evolves into a state of destructive chaos.
[looks around in thread]
Yep... looks like we're off to a good start...
You'll see. You'll all see. It's just a matter of time. Just keep making fun of me. But don't say I didn't warn you. And when the comet breaks apart, mid-orbit and rains down upon us...don't look for me. Look to Revelations...
Maybe, if you want people to take your plea seriously and not think you're insane, stop saying stereotypically, insane, things.
That seems like a good idea to me, how about to you guys?![]()
Something else just occurred to me.. how the hell does an exploding star 5-6 billion lightyears away relate to an armageddon here on Earth?
Stars are constantly being born, expending their energy, and dying off.. that's nothing new. I'm guessing the OP was unaware.

I'm confident because I didn't say "T3H w0rld is liek ending in 2012!!! ZOMG!", I said it SEEMS to be leading up to 'something', and there is a lot more to it than the few examples I gave.
...
Did you read the first post? But how I said this is NOT about an Armageddon or apocalypse...The star exploding is an expansion of what we've known about the universe. Do some research, I believe I explained this much.
There is quite a lot that I did not mention....I'm guessing GoblinWhirldwind, much like JLBats, wants to seem cool by hopping on the bandwagon and saying I'm insane since everyone else is. I'd bet money that if EVERYONE here said "Man, Silverstein! You're right! A lot of weird changes are happening. It does seem like it's building up to something..." You would not be making sarcastic comments like your above.
