my point wasnt that 03 Hulk was completely flawless, far from it actually, but what i was saying that in no way does this new Hulk beat 03's Hulk in its best scenes, thats what you have to compare them with, you take the best of 03's and the best of 08's and compare them, 03's wins. The fact that people are saying that 08's Hulk easily beats 03's is unbelievable IMO.

Well, we don't know we have seen the best of 08 yet...But I get what you mean, the best of what we have seen so far.

To be honest Sava, I think the positive reactions are as much to do with the model design as the actual CGI rendering (which I agree could do with some work): this new design is simply far better to me than Lee's over-sized chubby model was, and as such I guess the flaws (like the slightly overly waxy skin he has atm) will be more forgiveable (for now at least).

I really don't see where all this negativity is coming from. The film looks good, it's only 2minutes of bits and pieces from a film that's over an hour and a half long. Norton's hulk looks better imo and I've shown both Ang and Norton's hulk to various people outside the comic book/movie community and they've all agreed that this new hulk looks better. This only proves that fanboys will moan about anything no matter how small.

Yeah, I mean, Ang's Hulk looks like a statue, if you want that kind of realism. But this Hulk, from three shots alone, looks like a living, breathing, angry creature. And if the rest of the film's effects match up to what we see in the trailer, we're in for a treat.

didnt TF too?... actually, dont alot of movies have bits with end fights in them?

Couldnt say for sure but I'd guess it happens more often than not with action flicks. Given just how often it happens I don't get why anyone would think this happening here is so exceptional.

I agree with the design being better than Ang's, its just is but it isnt finished yet.

What my eyes tell me, of course! :whatever: I can actually see the muscles and veins on this Hulk. ILM put 100 layers of skin for their Hulk, and wound up with nothing.

yeah, ILM's Hulk looked like a fat bastard

.... these were taken when he was breathing out, i cant go frame by frame in stupid media player.

Still, I reckon it looks very good, and it was worth the wait. I look forward to seeing more of Hulk, including in the daytime. I would say Abomb had the best shot in the trailer when he saw his nemesis: I really could see the grossness of his body.

Edit: I still can't see veins in Sava's image. The only time I really felt like I could see the Bana Hulk's muscles was when he killed the giant bloodhound. At the end of the day, Ang generally created a good statue of the Hulk, but nothing something that looked alive.

are you insane?
he was breathing. he had sweat on hes skin. you could see every little details in hes face.

he was alive. stop bashing 03 hulk to make this one better. its pathetic.

you seem to have a hard on for things that look like they take steroids

you probably know that i disagree with you on the "looking alive" part but i did this same thing 5 years ago and i'm not doing it again. This is as far as i take this argument, i'm glad that you liked this new Hulk, i hope people out there are like you and not me, i really want this movie to be a hit.

I liked the Lee Hulk for the record, but what sweat? I liked him at the time because he did look a claymation monster. But times have changed, and we have Norton's motion capture instead of the director's. So no, I'm not insane. Asperger's maybe, but I don't live in a ward.

We are talking about monsters aren't we? Therefore, they need to convey an ugliness. And it looks believable if that's what they're trying to do. :yay:

i mean only the designe looks different. they both move like living monsters.

Veins dont equal ugliness IMO, i wouldnt say Ang's Hulk was good looking, surly not the one in the desert sequence or the one in the Dog fight, you can bet your ass if those Hulk's were real, people would go "Awww!", they'd go "AHHHHHHH!" and run as fast as they can.

well this hulk has so much weins because the skin looks very thin. its almost like you can see through.

I don't like seeing veins myself. As a kid I couldn't look at people when their hands fell back to support their heads. So it looks uglier to me. Granted, I say this from the safety of a moviegoer, not a fictional character contending with gamma-fiends.

And I reckon the Bana Hulk did look handsome, as far as monsters go. He had that baby-faced quality many criticised (although I understand Ang Lee was trying to convey the Hulk as this big green version of the young Banner).

Kinda like a bodybuilder? Their skin is basically stretched over their muscles.
yeah when they are flexing their muscles. on hulk when he just stands it is like he will explode.
maybe it will look good.

Why does dark_b always type "hes" instead of "his?" It's very annoying.

i get it, veins is just a personal thing, i gotta say, i never really thought of them as ungly. I agree that Ang's first Hulk (he had 3 different versions of Hulk in his movie BTW) was too baby faced, but i think that was just Ang's way of saying that he was just born, so he looked cute and small. The Hulk in the desert is what he grows up to be. Cant see him as hansome. But oh well, i'm glad you liked it (the trailer).
