So, will CGI be improved at all before the movie release?
Well, the Director is saying the CGI is not complete, I think there's a link to the article somewhere in one of the threads (empire online interview?). I posed a question on the previous page about what type of changes are going to be made, because saying 'the CGI is a work in progress' is a bit general, maybe one of the guy's 'in the know' has an answer?? That said, I'm sure the changes/improvements they're going to make are going to be subtle/minor?So, will CGI be improved at all before the movie release?
aha so every CGI shot in the trailer is not finished. but some shots are already finished?Yup, none of the shots are finished, as good as most of them are though.
Wow, thanks for the images Marvin.
The first one is especially telling. The one of the Hulk in the trailer looks much better than that shot and its not even finished.
On the subject of strength and looks...I don't recall ever seeing a guy in one of those strong man competitions being ripped, they were all proportioned differently and big. Not even olympic lifters are usually 'ripped', yet their strength is greater. 'Ripped' does not equate strength. Ang Lee's Hulk had that bulkiness that goes with being truly strong to me.

Wow, then you must live in a cave with no adults.I didn't say expressing your opinion is pointless. I said arguing repeatedly over each others' opinions is pointless. Especially when it comes to something subjective like taste. The example you just posted is something you would expect in a conversation between children. I've definitely never heard anything like that in an adult conversation.
Then why release a trailer with unfinished CGI? I don't get it. I'd rather wait for a trailer with everything at 100%.Yup, none of the shots are finished, as good as most of them are though.

You're not the only one! It almost seems like covering your behind if the public doesn't like it, and again when people say 'unfinished' what parts of the CG are we talking about?
But then you'd be waiting until like less than a month before release.

If it means I'll get the finished product, I really don't give a sh-t.But then you'd be waiting until like less than a month before release.
The thing is it's not one company working on shot after shot. It's different teams in the company with different tasks. One team may be doing the end sequence at the same time that another team is working on another scene entirely. And it is a continuous process until it's editing time. People want to see a trailer though so this is what they have right now. But, in fairness, its a 20-30 second sequence in a trailer, surely that should be perfect before released, I could understand if it was a 10 minute or shot.
Yeah but that's not enough to really build hype. Look at movies like Iron Man and the first Spider-man that got head starts. It's hard for me to find a person that DOESN'T know about Iron Man and isn't excited. If it means I'll get the finished product, I really don't give a sh-t.
SuperBoon: That's a good question. What parts?
