The CGI was pretty bad but the image of the hulk i love. His emotions, the way he looked in the sonic cannon scene and in the final battle made me forgive the bad cgi. I just love this design. HERE'S HOPING THERE WILL BE a sequel and the cgi problem will be fixed. But i hope they keep the design. Also i Think it will look much better on blue ray.

Those damn sonic cannons made the whole movie for me! That Scene I put up there with the Desert Sequence from '03 as my favorite action scene from any comic book movie, or movie period for that matter (Also loved the Casino Royale opening chase, great stuff)

The climactic fight with Abomination was just amazing; as were the sonic canons but if I was to pick one shot as my favourite - it would be the lightning lit roar to the heavens that hulk gives in the cave scene.

the biggest problem I had was that there was way too much spectral lighting. He always looked like he was wet.

The shot that stuck with me most, was after the final battle when the helicoptor shined the spotlight down, and Hulk looked up and was illuminated.

I really loved that for some reason.

No it really wasn't

True. People are just bashing the CGI in 2003 because they didn't like the movie.

The CGI becomes an easy target when people try to explain why they didn't like the movie.

I was actually very surprised at how much worse it was. It was much more typical cgi looking and the facial expressions were shockingly bad at times.

Was that the shot of his back when he turned round one last time to look at Betty.

Yeah, that was a nice shot, in fact, it is one of the more impressive shots in which his skin looks right on the money (just like in '03 Hulk when he bursts out of the Military Base)

not true, i really liked the movie, but the CG was shady in some parts, not all the time. other parts were good.

The CGI I felt was second to none with one exception: the day time battle sequence, the green coloring, as was evident in the 2003 version almost impossibly looks ridiculously fake no matter how good of a job the CGI artists have done

On the flipside the night shots of the Hulk where on the same level as King Kong I felt, fantastic

the daytime shots needed more contrast...nothing changed from trailers to final

most of the night time stuff was great tho

the rain stuff worked best imo

for some reason his face seemed to keep changing

I think the face was consistant through most of the movie except for one scene, the campus fight where the calm hulk looked at betty.

I think my only CGI gripe about this movie was the final roar after beating Abomy's ass. It looked odd, but it was still cool.

The transformation scene on the table was great though. Reminded me of "American Werewolf in London".

I don't know what all the dissing is on the CGI. I thought it looked great (not Transformers great) and better suited to this film than the CGI in the previous one. The Hulk was grittier, meaner, more vicious than his last incarnation and I felt he fit the idea of what a live-action Hulk should look like.

There mere darker green and design of the Hulk was already better for me. At least on the big screen the movements and textures felt perfect and convincing.

I thought he looked fine except for when he threw the car door at the helicopters in the campus scene. That was particularly videogamey. Also, how come his chompers are so white and straight? Make them a little crooked and nasty!

the movie is good better than hulk2003 and I hope there's a sequel just do a better Hulk for the next one:up:

Wow,..Im really shocked to hear so many say the CGI was better than Hulk ..Thats just not right at all.Dont get me wrong i dont want to troll , I really really liked the film. But as far as the CGI goes there were some cringe worthy parts.
The entire Hulk / Betty cave scene for one.First when hes walking with her in his arms down the river his feet weren't done. You could just tell right away that they didn't finish that shot. His feet didn't interact with the water at all=terrible.
Then once they're in the cave theres still a few shots that looked incomplete.Mostly whenever Betty is on screen with Hulk. There was only one shot where you see a close up of Hulks body when hes sitting next to Betty that looked completed. Now I really liked that scene and what it projected but ,..the CGI was garbage and hulk never looked worse.Especially when you compare it to the end finale and the University sequence.
Sorry ,dont tear me to pieces. It is what it is.

* pulls away the shedder*
There's nothing wrong with opinion.

Add to the 08 hulk's better camp. more consistant, more of a wow factor in certain scenes (Like the cave scene and the close-up of him looking at Ross) and there was nothing straight up bad. I still think Hulk had some good cgi, but there was some bad stuff (roar on tree at dog, transformation in water, fight with father, his first close-up in the movie)

i just watched this scene again and you're wrong his feet do interact with the water. when he first lands the water splashes then as he walks he kinda shuffles the water with his feet. he's not stomping when he walks so you don't see big splashes but the water does move.

He's right.^

When I watched the movie I looked down there to see if any motion in the water was being done, it was reacting realistically.
