I was bored and had some time on my hands, so I did something different. You know, the original "Iron Man" song by Black Sabbath, doesn't depict the Iron Man we know, since it was made before the character existed. So, I thought, since they put that track so oftenly in the Iron Man trailers, why not make the lyrics depict Marvel's Iron Man? And I did so...I have to warn you, the lyrics I made may make you laugh or even may be what some people would like to call "uber phail". But hey, I tried. First, lemme put the original lyrics in here for comparison.

Here's the original song's lyrics:

I don't find them that great myself, but what do you guys think? I tried to depict Tony Stark with the lyrics...

You're wrong about that, pal.

Iron Man made his debut in 1963.
Black Sabbath's album Paranoid, which features Iron Man, was released in 1970.

Hmmm...But that's still before Iron Man became an actual important character like The Fantastic 4, Captain America and Hulk, right?

I wouldn't say so. IM got his own title in 1968, he was already member of Avengers and was doing guest appearances in TIH, Cap America, Cap Marvel, DD etc.

But you're right about the song, it's not about Marvel's Iron Man.

The song is about a person who travels through time to, or for the benefit of, mankind's future. On his way back, he is transformed to steel with "boots of lead" when he passes through a "magnetic field." Because of his new form, people reject him-- despite his efforts for the benefit of mankind-- and as revenge he tries to kill them. It turns out that the terrible event he tried to warn people of was him.
