Sci-Fi The Jetsons | Warner Bros.

Spielberg was in talks?

With Carrey being 60, I’m curious if they’ll set it after the animated series, and age up the kids too as adults.

Also, doesn’t need to be said but Danny DeVito as Mr. Spacely or don’t bother.

Yes.

But I love the Jim Carrey casting.

The director's choice not so much (but maybe scifi family comedy will be more in his wheelhouse?)

I liked the Jetsons when I was a child in the 80s, but do children today even know who The Jetsons are ,and like them ?

Certainly a downgrade from Steven Spielberg, though.

I don't think that Steven Spielberg was ever attached to the Jetsons. I remember Robert Rodriguez being for a long while.

I was referencing Spielberg doing The Flintstones. :funny:

Carrey's a comedic genius and I love the Jetsons. This could be fun. The Flintstones movie from the 90's was an underrated gem.

My personal fan-cast was always, Alan Tubyk...

...was thinking he was getting a bite too old for it, but, Carreys older, soo
don't get me wrong Carrey in the role is kinda Goated, so, I'll take it...

just saying

I guess the opportunity of Danny DeVito as Mr. Spacely has probably passed.

You both cooked.

Jane Krakowski as Jane. :sneeze:

Jetsons feels like the kind of concept I’d rather not see leave the animated medium tbh.

If WB is so keen to have one of their old animated properties in live action, y’all gotta make Jonny Quest happen already.

Mom: we have Johnny Quest at home.

Carrey as George is an interesting choice but it's hard to muster any kind of excitement for a Trevorrow project.
