Seeing as how we are in midst of deciding which villain we want to see in the movie, I decided to put focus on my personal choice; Kang the Conqueror.

Next to Ultron he's my favorite Avengers foe. Would love to see him in some incarnation and curious to see how they'd translate him to film.

I`d say the best way to translate him would be a darker version of the same color scheme. Get rid of the flappy sleeves and put him in some armor and regal combo attire. But definitly if nothing else keep the face the same. Its just so unique and cool.

Yes, I agree on the colour scheme, but I would want to see a live attempt at the classic sleeves and and armor. If I saw how it looks in real life, I might see the need for change.

EDIT: The face is a must too.

I love Kang even though the only time I've actually read him is in Young Avengers. But in that he was AWESOME!

Reality check: he probably won't be featured in the first Avengers movie, but he is pretty damn cool/cheesy looking at the same time.

Kang would be one of the toughest classic villains to translate to film, I'm really interested to see how one might do it. The challenge involves making this time traveler seem both feasible and a threat to the Avengers.

I think the Young Avengers had a good handle on Kang where they made him somewhat tied to Iron Man because of the fact that the guy uses technology and is insanely smart, even for future people. That would be my guess as to how to adapt him.

Good collection of pictures. Makes me wanna see it happen someday.

Also the writers would have to choose a time loop, or that time can change for the future. There could be some very cool ideas they can come up with, with time travel. I have a few idea myself, but I need to think about the plot holes some more.

Anyone have any casting choices for Kang?

Mine has always been Liam Neeson, even before he was Rhas Al Ghul.

Not much of a fan casting dude so i won't give my cents in that, However i think Kang would be an interesting choice after Thanos, Maybe Masters of Evil for Phase IV and Kang for Phase V. Make both phases connected, the same way the first 3 seem to be now.

So Kang would fall under the Fantastic Four/Fox banner being as he's a Richards and his first appearance was as Rama-Tut in a FF issue a year or so before an appearance in the Avengers as Kang?

In all likelihood the rights are divided. Chances are Fox has the rights to Rama Tut, and the name Nathaniel Richards, but Kang himself is probably with Marvel.
