The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has a new crime thriller in the works, but this time he's not helming the film. Called The Keys to the Street and based on the book by Ruth Rendell, the film was co-scripted by Nolan and Michael Stokes.

Variety reports that Gemma Arterton and Tim Roth will star in the film, which is "set in London’s exclusive Regent’s Park area, where a woman accepts a house-sitting assignment in order to escape her violent and disturbed ex-boyfriend Alastair (Roth). As a series of murders occur in the neighborhood, she starts an affair with another man, played by Max Irons."
Czech director Julius Sevcik will steer the picture, which is looking for buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.
