Superman Returns The KID.....merged threads

Its a new Superman movie, that uses some elements established in the original Superman movies.

Think along the lines if a new Superman comic that uses some basic or populer stuff established from the previous run, but is starting a new continuity. It's not all that hard to understand, but when it's a film using the same concept, people are allowing themselves to be easily confused with the words like sequel, remake, or Revamp. It's just a new movie.

As for the kid, AS STATED BY SINGER HIMSELF IN PRINT, the kid is Richards! No Superman 2, so throw that out the window for now. This isn't fan guesswork when the people who made the movie are giving you the information.

Based on the SR novel, and whats forming in space......Im pretty sure the next Supervillian wont be Zod...but a different intelligence.

I hope we will get Brainiac

As for the kid, the novelization approach sounds interesting... Leave it in the open if the kid is Clark´s or not, to end it with a strong relationship between the kid and Richard, take the high road... Of course the novelization isn´t necessarily what´s in the movie, but Iike that idea...

I have realized that Kid isn't so bad in this movie. He is even more serious probation for Superman than any of supervillians.

you think that enigma didnt tell the truth? afterall he gave us a lot of pics.

i am thankfull for all pics.

Well, the guy disappeared from here a while ago. Who knows what his deal was. No harsh feelings.

I did totally agree with you, but after reading the book, there are 2 definite references to superman 2...just nothing about the villains

From an interview with Bryan from Los Angeles City beat:

How will hardcore comic-book fans react to disruptions in the traditional Superman storyline like Lois’s child and other updated tweaks?

“I like to think they’ll appreciate [the modern touches],” says Singer. “There are always some fans that will have a very strict interpretation of what a movie should be, and perhaps they’ll only find parts of it that they will respond to. There are very few true, insurmountable obstacles for Superman, and frankly, on a personal level, the child is a huge obstacle for him to reconcile.”

I'm glad they're leaving it vague about who the child belongs to (if the novel is truthful). Enables the sequel to be a lot easier to make.
