I simply don't want to spend my time in a theater watching a Superman movie where there's more time devoted to him being jealous and being revealed as an absentee father than there is of him doing, well, super things.

Why do we have to relate to Superman? What is that need for?

You don't need a relatable character to write a good story about him. Hell, I don't relate to Leonidas I at all. But I admire the hell out of that Spartan.

Superman makes a kid much like we humans do. Basically, the man puts his wee-wee inside the lady's hoo-hoo. Then he moves it around a bit just until he shakes off the magic juice. The magic juice then travels inside the hoo-hoo until it finds the magic egg. The magic juice swims inside the magic egg and then 9 months later, the lady pushes a baby out of her hoo-hoo.

Hey I have seen the baby factory...use to pass it on the way to the hospital I use to go to in Chicago as kid...my mom always joked she was going to take me back to the baby factory if I wasn't good.

Off the wall theory of how the kid could have powers if only this movie was directly linked to Superman 2. What if Lois was already pregnant during the closing battle between Superman Zod & his cronies, so when Superman stepped into the chamber & reversed it to take away their powers instead of his maybe it could of had an opposite effect on the fetus & gave it powers that it wouldn't originally had if it hadn't been exposed. It wouldn't have effected Lois since she wasn't Kryptonian but since the fetus would of had Supermans dna to begin with it just completed the process of giving it powers also. For every action there is an equal & opposite reaction, so that could have been applied to that scene in the movie.

the way I understand it is that the Superman is not the same Superman that Christopher Reeve played but they do share similar history (he came to earth, Jonathon Kent died, he had a relationship with Lois, he fought Lex Luthor, he fought Zod ect).

kind of like in a comic book where sometime the same hero in different comic continuity share similar events in their back story, but where one hero went right the other went left
